The funny thing is that if the loudest ones would have just shut up about things, he would have lasted longer here. He was a backup QB that brought juice to the team and was fun as hell to watch in certain circumstances. The lore of him ultimately made him more of a distraction than he was worth because Rivera was on twitter as much as anyone was.
 
Rivera was retired on active duty.

He was probably online on social media most of the afternoons after practice.

He sure wasn't spending time helping the coordinators develop customized game plans for each week's opponent, as we know the team's play selection on either side of the ball never changed based on the talent we were facing.

Right now if I was an Eagles fan I would feel pretty good. They look like they won’t be nearly as good this year as in years past. This division, though:

Unclear what WAS will be

I would be cautiously optimistic for now. Blech.

Hopefully AP has some positive surprises in store. The cupboard just seems a bit too bare.

Honestly, that's not THAT much. It's AAV of $10/year, the last year is probably no guaranteed money and voidable.

My guess is this is really a 2 year deal worth ~$16m. Or, essentially what he got from us.

We'll see when the contract details get released. However, when contracts are released, it's always by the agents (and was definitely the case here because the tweet referenced the agents, and the numbers are always bloated to show how good they are.

Yeah, but the point is an NFL team with a respected head coach believes that Biadasz has value for them.

After he visited Chicago as they are dealing with the Dalman retirement, it appears other teams had interest in talking with him as well.

So, there seems to be some disconnect between our throwing him out the back door and other teams looking at him as a potential add and starter.

I bet if Allegretti had been released he wouldn't have been signed until after the draft in the second wave and he would be operating on a contract closer to the veteran minimum.
 
The Vikings center, Kelly just retired too. We're going to have some competition in the Center FA market for sure.

They made enough money, they live simple lives and are from simple backgrounds and the game has had an impact on their body. They want to spend time with their family and raise their kids
 
Nice video of Sonny. It also noted that three of the four 99 yard passing TD's in the NFL history (at that time) were by Redskins (one of them in this highlight). Enjoy!

 
Why do certain people insist on using this highly overused noun consistently on this board? I am on two different message boards, non football, and I rarely see it used. For some reason on this board, people love to use this noun.

Hyperbole. 😡

Sometimes it's best just to use the simplest of words to convey your thoughts and feelings. Such as exaggeration, overstatement, elaboration or embellishment.

This is a team board for a sports team in Washington DC.

Probably a lot of lawyers creeping around here.

Of course, that could just be hyperbole.
