I just said that because I seemingly feel like I was the only one on the Love bandwagon. In fact I pretty much feel exactly like Kiper. I think that Love is a all pro level game changer who would be unstoppable when combined with Jayden, Terry, and an explosive FA TE or WR, but I too also feel like we have solid backs with potential and you can find good backs later in the draft. It's also infuriating seeing dominant pass rushers around the league and us not having one.

However, no one in this draft gets me as excited as Love. He's one of the few guys even in the NFL where you can say that he's capable of being as fun to watch as Jayden when he's at his best and the thought of them together is something that I'm wanting more and more esxh day. It's one of those things that may have made the week 18 win a blessing because we were going to draft someone else but ended up with the best player in the draft.

I remember watching Sean Taylor every game at Miami and saying that he's around the ball on every play. I didn't want anyone but him so the fact that I felt like we got the best player without a top 2 pick was amazing. Getting the best player at 7 and combining him with Jayden for the next decade can make us a playoff team every year.

Been hyping Love for months, no pun intended but Love gets plenty of love on this thread.

But I'd still be slightly surprised if they took him so I don't go on and on forever about Love. Feels like they like go defense or if they go on offense, they go WR. More premium spots. But I would love if they took him. I am not though married to them takling him, I can see the rationale for multiple players at 7.

As far as your point about Sean, Caleb Downs isn't the athletic freak that Sean is by a long shot, but I have watched a lot of college safeties over the years, on ES I whined to no end when they didn't take Derwin James, Hamilton among others. But Downs while isn't the freak that James, Sean, Hamilton are -- he IMO has the best play recognition skills I've seen in any college safety I've watched.

Downs had all the hype originally but now it seems like a lot of people have him going around 10, etc.

It goes back to what I said that we should get a high level player, no matter what. I would be happy with Downs

Riggins looked at the choice of running over, or by a DB like he looked at the choice between a Bloody Mary and a Miller Lite at 10 am:

Not much, if anything. But why would we need to trade him?

Nothing really, but you still need backups and change of pace guys. And he can still develop his pass blocking, receiving, and vision to round out his game throughout his rookie contract. You need other RB’s with real potential in case of injury regardless, I wouldn’t be looking to move him even if there was decent trade interest (there likely wouldn’t be)
 


Scary list to be at the top of. Robinson took some time but eventually developed into a classic slot, not very explosive though, kind of a Crowder. The rest, enormous busts
 


Not a great year to need to rebuild the interior DL, probably another reason Payne stays unless they like multiple mid-level guys in FA to both replace him and add another player.
 
^ Holy hell that Ron Stewart post is that a bad look for the speedster Branch moving into the NFL. At the same time, very positive for Lemon regarding that comment underneath.

What makes receiver more important than Love (specifically).

There are really good receivers in this class. I’m. It sure any are elite though there are a few close (I’m coming around on Lemon, Tyson) but none I look at as currently (key word) elite.

Love is elite. He is an offense changer. He changes the math. Significantly.

As far as defense goes, I think we’re going to be left with Bain or Downs at this point.

In that scenario, based on impact to team, and in a vacuum I take Love.

All three would be good for us.

All of this. And also, Love would dramatically help the passing game. He’s an excellent receiver. I still remember how awesome our offense looked when Reed and Chris Thompson were healthy, and how it dropped off when either was hurt. Love would bring a lot of easy yards for Jayden in the passing game

Black (Indiana RB) is the stand out so far. Fields looked good. Defense for the National Team appears to be largely MIA
 
The OL really controlled the whole drive. Florida's Center Slaughter was looking strong on a couple of those plays
