Official Game Thread - Week 7 - Commanders @ Cowboys

Regarding Gay, Keim pointed out that he's made 9 of his last 10. The doink in the Bears game hurt, but otherwise he's been on a decent little roll recently after a not great start.
And the doink means he

Or he'd be 10 of the last 10

It's fucking Dallas week guys have some positivity! 🙌

Medrano inactive again. Interesting they won’t let him fail in coverage on obvious passing downs when Wagner is already guaranteed to do it anyways, at least Medrano is athletic enough to potentially not fail

Quinn and Whitt should have the upper hand against Dallas. If they know any squad's strengths and weaknesses it's this one. Now, that didn't help last year, but maybe with Dallas having a new coaching squad that intimate knowledge will come to play this go around.

Interesting setup today. We know Dallas is going to throw a lot, can we stop them? Dallas knows we'll run a lot, can they stop us?

Honestly think Dallas D might have better luck than ours. Prescott will find the many gaps in our zone coverages, and with Lamb, Perkins and Ferguson exploiting what we have to call mismatches, feels like that could get ugly.

Can we minimize that damage by keeping them off the field with an effective run game? Well, that's what we thought would happen last week against Chicago, which at the time had the worst run D in the league. We do have Chris Rodriguez, John Bates and Sam Cosmi back this week to help there, though, so it could be interesting.

Wouldn’t their intimate knowledge be less applicable with a new coaching staff and another year removed?

So if I remember correctly from last week, nothing matters as long as JD5 is smiling on the sidelines. That still the game plan?

Seriously, this is the hill you want to die on? It ain't about him smiling. The kid is having fun and a competitor. And furthermore, he is our franchise QB. Im smiling. Let's give that shit a rest, shall we?

HTTR!

Hill I want to die on? Lmao.

I’d like for him to smile AND win. If that’s too much to ask for, oh well

If anything it’s more of indictment on the silliness of what fans focus on than the player.

Huh? Are you getting into weird bitter territory already with the best player we’ve had in many years? This fanbase is so toxic it’s crazy. No surprise I guess, given what we’ve endured. But I’m not gonna act like this isn’t weird

Just saying, my man. You worried about smiling instead of worrying about our team winning. Its absolutely hilarious that you are studying our QBs facial expressions. Im more worried about our performance.

HTTR!

The Panthers gave us a map last week on how to beat the Cowboys despite a suspect passing game. We'll see if Kingsbury was paying attention.

Jayden is going to have to be SUPERMAN today and/or play keep away with our run game. Dak is probably going to throw for 600 yards lol. I expect Turpin and Ferguson to have monster games.

With that being said, if we can go 1-1 these next 2 weeks I'll feel really good about the rest of the season. Once we get Cosmi, Terry, and Deebo back...I LOVE our offense. Great chance for Lane and Luke to continue to grow up quick in games like this.

Oh wait, is Cosmi starting today? They activated him? Nice.
