My new Les Paul was supposed to be here yesterday, and it got rescheduled for today, and they keep bumping the times back

I probably took 10 long trips in my '85 Subaru wagon (stick shift for the mountains rocked)...3 ACC touraments and trips home to Winchester every year for X-mas. (That car was a MONSTER!!!)

Funny, almost 2 decades later...in a rental Mazda following a Tony Stewart decked out white Monte Carlo on the way back from VA *and just moving with the traffic* I looked down and I was doing 110...zoom zoom, indeed...to the point where if I even took my foot off the gas, I was gonna get hit in the rear...
Took a lot of maneuvering to get outta that. I'm thankful every day that I grew up in VA where I had to pass both a classroom and "on the road" class to be able to drive. My parents actually took me out and TAUGHT me. Mountain roads with no lines. Here, with heavy traffic everywhere and nutty highways? They just hand their kids a car at 16, say "Well, you've watched me, you can do it!", and are glad to get 'em outta their hair and not have to drive 'em around anymore. It's cray-cray. I've actually advocated for the driving age to be raised here in GA...parents need to be involved in their kids' lives for at least one more year, hopefully.

Yep, crazy weather here. Gonna be back in the 70s by the weekend. :rolleyes:
 
My wife hates it when I go outside when it's cold, come back inside with cold hands, and then slip those cold puppies under her shirt. Most times she sees me coming but not today. :p

I had to prepare the smoker this morning and it was the frozen tundra today. Temps in the 30's with a 30mph wind. At least I have a warm wife to warm my hands on, lol.
 
65 here in the suburbs of Miami...got a sweater on! 🤣
