I could see it, not because Croskey-Merritt is better than Gibbs, but because Daniels is more dynamic than Goff, and Kingsbury's offence in general, with all the hurry-up and misdirection, will stress the defense differently. That said, like most teams, I assume that the Packers could limit the Commanders' rushing yards by leaving themselves more vulnerable to the passing game--pick your poison.

We know with Ben Johnson they used a lot of misdirection and funky play design to stress defenses. But he's gone, I'd love to know if their 2025 offense just looks more vanilla.
 
The cynical side of me says that the scheduling of this game was orchestrated to build up the Packers as this year's "it" team. Seems like the NFL wants to establish them by getting them a signature win. What better way to do that than to bring a contending team in on a Thursday early in the season? Kind of like old-school pro wrestling; the best way to get a new wrestler "over" with the fans in a new territory was to give him an early win against a big-name opponent.

This game is certainly a much better matchup and carries much more national interest than either the Sunday night game (ATL@MIN) or both Monday night games (TB@HOU, LAC@LV) and should have been one of the week's marquee games.

They got some good LBs among other things to stop the run. But agree, the misdirection of the offense, and Jayden as a running threat should give them more issues.
 
Green Bay has been a tough place to get a win for Washington. It's no time for punting woes. ;)

I have rarely thought about the game today…I actually keep forgetting that we’re playing tonight.

I hope we win, hope we get to see the full force of our offense, hope our defense shows that last Sunday was not a mirage, pray there are no injuries.

Our D should raise their 3rd down yards needed and our offense should be in a better spot by cleaning up penalties alone
 
Incredibly thankful to be playing a big time game. Would have appreciated it more if we were at home. It’s a tall task to head to Lambeau on 3 days rest and beat a good team that got better. It’s totally possible that we can be the contender we think we are and still walk out of there with an L.

All that said, call it delusional confidence - I actually expect to win tonight. I expect Jayden to play his best under the lights. I expect to stop the run and make Jordan love look pretty regular.
