The Jayden Daniels Tracker

I believe we can file that under confidently incorrect.

I was wondering, if Jayden Daniels never improves at all as a player, if he peaks as a top 5-6 QB, and not a top 3 QB, how disappointed would you guys be? And, how much of a ceiling do you think that would put on us as a potential yearly SB contender.

While I see Jayden currently just outside the Burrow, Allen, and maybe Lamar tier, I still think that he could lead Super Bowl teams with no improvement on his part. Especially with significant roster improvements.

I will take a top 5 or 6 QB for the next 15 years

I am very excited for next year. I think JD continues to improve, and I really hope Kliff stays because I want to see this offense continue to grow. Mahomes said he wasn't truly comfortable until year 3 so just going to sit here and be patient.

I am also looking for what AP brings in this off season.

Obviously he was insanely wrong on JD, but he may very well be right about Maye also ending up as an elite QB. He did some very impressive things with NE, considering he was a rookie behind literally the worst OL in the NFL (at least per PFF) and possibly the worst supporting cast as well. Most rankings I've seen have him listed around Nix and way ahead of Caleb.

I think Maye is going to be a top 10 QB. This was the draft year of the QB. I don't believe that New England is upset he fell to them.

I know there was talk about Jayden's use of VR- do we know if they've been able to continue that here?

Edit: I know ownership was onboard, so hopefully it's still a regular thing!

They have, he uses it every week as far as what we know from early in the season, but people online started talking like it was an unfair competitive advantage since it’s kind of proprietary technology that requires the direct time and collaboration of the creators, so I think as a fanbase we’re pretending to forget about it to avoid notice 👀

Really? People complained? I remember WAY back when McNabb was on the Eagles, and the then-Redskins were playing them on MNF. They showed some demo of goggles that he was practicing with. Basically it just shuttered / blocked light with some frequency so he would get used to processing what he was seeing between OL/DL guys blocking his view. The Eagles have had all sorts of those types of things for a long time.

All of the other stuff, analytics departments, nutritionists, that some teams may have better than others... those are also not universally "available" to every team (the individuals who offer those specific services from their own hands). I don't see how this is even remotely debatable as an unfair advantage.

Why no VR on the sideline? I am sure someone could figure out how to get the previous drive in there quickly. Meanwhile, every QB had been seen sporting a device or old school "photographs" on the sideline for a long ass time.

Baldy's at it again. Haha my kid immediately called it "its not flag football" when that happened.

I admit i wanted Drake maye pre draft.
This is all I gotta say about that now.

I wish all these commentators would drop all the qualifying remarks about JD being great/poised/etc. "for a rookie QB.". He has played better than any other QB this far in this year's postseason. He is already a top 5 QB. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, and JD. He's already a better QB than Love, but announcers slobber all over Jordan L because he's a Packers QB. He's obviously better than Goff or Darnold, and imho Hurts. Saying "he's so incredible for a rookie" is as annoying as when Doug Williams had just had the greatest SB performance to that point and somehow nobody could just say that without the words "black qb" in the sentence.
