Heh. I think Oz is cooler than O.Z. but what do I know.

Yeah, I mean, this is all kind of what I was thinking. Just wanted to make sure.

He said he was calling Olamide Zacchaues Oz ...

Seems like something pretty much anyone would do.

for a few days, a week maybe. Two months without noticing you’ve given a guy a different nickname than what the entire locker room calls him is definitely comical and worth joking around about yourself. It’s like something Michael Scott would do

I gotta say he’s pretty punchable as a public figure lol.
Really? I've never had enough of a reaction to him one way or the other to think of him as punchable. He strikes me as completely vanilla ice cream personality wise. (see what I did there?)

Though, he has a really great taste in purchasing real estate in Arizona. So I'll give him kudos on that....

Well, there is a Wizard in Oz, and he's wonderful.
Love it.

... and before you think it. Even I'm not nerdy enough to want to rebrand us the Washington Munchkins (though I do have a soft spot for Alvin Garrett, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Smurfs.)

Yup and the joke lands for one other reason that's a little taboo at times but if done correctly like kliff did is pretty funny.

I think with limited exposure his nonchalance can come across as arrogance. Or maybe he is actually a guy with a level of arrogance, I don’t know him. He’s grown on me but I definitely have watched pressers where I found him vaguely unlikeable lol. I’ve known pompous dudes who I’ve eventually become friends with, though. He’s probably a cool dude

So, for two months, Kliff is around these players and doesn't notice everyone else calling him O.Z. instead of Oz ? Kind of strange.

But, even if that's true, just doesn't seem like a mistake that would solely be committed by Caucasians.

That’s not really the point of his offhand comment, but it’s not really a topic for this forum. I think it’s fine not to relate to it, it’s not a confusing statement for people who do. I’m a 35-year old white guy who works with younger people from across the spectrum and these jokes get made all the time, it’s no biggie and also not meant to be taken as a moral failing or even a commentary on any group. It’s purely just a joke that exists in certain social dynamics, and if you recognize it, it gives you a chuckle. If you don’t, it’s harmless. We all exist in the context of our own lives

Sometimes a spoonful of humor is needed on one’s breakfast cereal.

I would agree with this part.
I've heard the type of joke he's making before.
I just think it's kind of a silly thing to say here as far as the story he's telling, basically just done for a cheap laugh.

Most people go through their workdays cracking jokes for a cheap laugh that make sense in the context of their shared experience, it’s human nature. What pings on any one person’s radar as strange or worthy of comment is different as well.

JD5 Mic'd up!!

Loved him directing CRod on his assignment in that one play ("you're lead blocking for me"), the communication between JD and Allegretti on adjusting the protection, keeping Terry's head in the game (even though it never clicked), and the urgency he instilled in the huddle/between plays when running the offense up-tempo.

This kind of leadership is not something he would have displayed early in the season. It's awesome to see... crossing all my fingers and toes that he stays healthy because otherwise he's hitting every single mark you could hope for.

That was awesome. He's a competitor and it's amazing how quickly he has made this team his own. I would love to hear the **** they don't include in these, like what's being said back and forth between the player and his coaches but they won't give us that. Very cool.
