Official Game Thread - Week 11 - TNF Edition - Commanders @ Eagles

Totally agree with you, Burgold. Getting BRob and Lucas back (along with Wylie) will elevate us to a more even chance.

When I referee to the ‘Punchers Chance’ I was thinking about the injuries. It’s looking like we might get BRob back this game, but not Lucas. Wylie, I’m hoping, should be good to go as he suited up last week at least.

What’s a little worrying this week is that Coleman is on the injury report on a short week. Eeek!
 
Our offense will have to be top notch because I think our defense will have a tough time slowing down the eagles offense. Especially Barkley and Brown.

I'd feel better if Lattimore was playing, but I have faith that Washington can pull out an upset win.

Yep, I've thought that was one things that has given us an edge this season.

Folks still see the team as Dan Snyder's Washington team and the laughingstock they sadly were for a number of years.

I guess it's hard to shake that perception since that's who they were for so long.

Hopefully the eagles still have that same false perception and think this will be an easy win.
 
Meh - eagles are legit good they just had a shaky start.

Our biggest advantage is their coach is a moronic blowhard
 
Sadly I'm expecting a loss , old habits die hard!. I think we have a 5% chance to win I'll be praying to the football gods none the less.
 
Philly is good, but I don't think their D is nearly as good as Pittsburgh's. I understand the stats, but I just don't think it'll be nearly as hard for Washington to move the ball. Their offense though, when it's clicking, is better. What happens with Philly at times though is that they have off games. If the calculus of tomorrow night gives us a C+ performance from Philly's offense and a couple of breaks, I think the Skins win the game. These two teams (when full strength) are very evenly matched.
 
Yeah, this is too much too soon after the Steelers. A win would be fantastic, but I am not optimistic.
 
If it comes down to the final drive and having to choose between 2 and a win or kick it for OT I hope they make the decision to go for 2 this time.

Last year's team went like 2-12 after Ron didn't go for the win.

Ignoring then Philly's would be likely as tired.

I miss ole Ron... from his Carolina days maybe.
 
This is a challenging game for us. Brown and Barkley match up perfectly with our weaknesses (DB and stopping the run). As much as I would love to see us win this game, I give us less than a 10% chance to pull it off.

Less than 10%? Vegas has the Eagles favored by 3 1/2 at home. I think this game is close to a toss up and have it more like 45% chance myself. We have weapons and will score as they will. We were in both games against the Ravens and Steelers till the end. Eagles are a big challenge but I give them a good chance to pull off the upset.

The Jaguars went toe to toe with the Eagles less than two weeks ago. Sure they pounded the cowboys and giants like a good team does but I think its selling our team short to not give them much of a chance here.

I know that this game isnt that important in the grand scheme of things. We can get Lattimore by the Cowboys game and go on quite a run with our schedule. But gosh darn I want to beat the Eagles so bad. We really need our bye to get healthy, crazy late again.
