I think it might depend on how you define sponsor. I think of a sponsor as someone that gives money/support. I see partner and think they are giving their services for free to the team or for a significant discount in order to promote their relationship. Either way, I think it's a sign there may be some cracks in the wall. What about FedEx? :)

Yeah, we are going to need one or more from the FedEx, Nike, ABInBev, PepsiCo, et al crowd to take a public step back.

I honestly would not be surprised if many teams got away from having cheerleading all together now.
 


Apparently Fox5 contacted all the sponsors listed on the site for reaction...

That's front and center pressure against them, when a news organization is mentioning them BY NAME about this.

I brought this up earlier in this thread. At this point, there is no reason to have adult cheerleaders at an NFL game. They aren’t leading cheers. They are there to sell one thing, the illusion of sex. There was a time where the cheerleaders actually led cheers at NFL games. There was even a time where we celebrated that the cheerleaders were there to sell sex. Well, that time is gone. I just don’t see why they are needed in this day and age other than to make money off of their looks. This is even when they are treated correctly, which we are learning they have not been.

If a team feels they should have ambassadors or something like that, then by all means do it. But would you have these same women dress in skimpy clothes to appease the male fans (mostly) if they weren’t classified as cheerleaders? I think that was actually one of the claims made against the Redskins by women working in the office. That they dress provocatively for the fans and others. It’s kind of the same thing, but I recognize the cheerleaders sign up for that role. I just don’t think it’s necessary any more.
 
She did the investigation of Ezekiel Elliott domestic violence charges I believe. She’s a former Clinton and Obama appointee. We’ll thought of by some, not highly regarded by others. She’s spent a lot of her career defending/protecting billionaire CEOs in private practice 🤔

I have been trying to wrap my brain around this new investigation focused solely on Tiffani Johnston’s allegations against Snyder.

If the scope of the investigation is limited to her claims that Snyder put his hand on her leg under a dinner table, tried to physically directed her to his car, and provided prostitutes for a party, and that ultimately those claims are deemed true, does anyone believe that those facts will spur 2/3 of the NFL owners to take the nuclear option and take the franchise from him? Would this further accumulation of actions be the straw that breaks his back?
 
Hard to say. It doesn't sound like a lot (by NFL scandal standards). But it would show, again, that just about everything that comes out of Dan Snyder's mouth is a lie. I don't know how they prove the most concerning charge, that he was trying to sexually touch Tiffani Johnston under the table - that's 'he said she said' stuff, although the rest of her allegations about that night were corroborated. I have to think at some point the Beth Wilkinson report (or the guts of it) is going to leak out. It may take Congress subpoening her and even then I'm not sure what the legalities are in terms of what she can talk about. I have no doubt she wants the details out. I think that's where the best hopes lie that all the ugly stuff comes out and that Snyder goes down.
 
i have very little hope with this being as it's centered only around 1 single event. I can see the NFL minimalizing the 'punishment' if there is one.

John, i think you're right that there is a 'chance' that this could lead to Congress ordering a subpoena which would be the ultimate x-factor in all this. We have to believe if the Wilkinson report were to come out, Dan would be gone.

The other thing that is alarming here is Goodell re-negotiating his deal. That's the ultimate 'circle the wagons' move. The only question is whether that circle has Snyder in it or not.
 
If Congress is going to use their subpoena powers they should start with Snyder, add Goodell, then go from there.
