So I admit, I have yet to get past the name change. Here are a couple of random thoughts after visiting the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota.

Since the coward, Dan Snyder made the decision to disassociate with the "Native" theme for a team name, does that mean he has stopped donating money to the charities within these communities?

Also, after an employee at the Memorial saw my Redskins tattoo, he struck up a conversation about the name change. He explained how he felt like another symbol of the heritage has been taken.

Hate is a strong word so I’ll use disdain describing what I have for Snyder. This little pile of shit ruined one of the most storied franchises in history and wiped it from the history books while doing it. Coward bastard needs the exact same shame walk as Cersi got the day he’s finally booted out.

So I will pledge to keep my comments about this new team from the Sons of Washington forum because I have longstanding relationships with many of you I wish to maintain. I don't want to be more of a pain in the ass than I already am to some of you.

With that said, I am now actively rooting for Ron Rivera to fail...which by default means I will no longer be on the same page as most of you in regards to the team.

He took this job knowing our history, knowing the team name and it's importance to the fanbase. As soon as the name changed, he's all about social justice, suggesting the name and the history of our team are are sinful because of the use of the Native Imagery...even though most from that community I've talked to think it is worse to change the name.

Now he's going to kneel at the coin toss? Might as well just kneel during the anthem. It's the same thing...

Not that I'm going to get too deep in to this...but, the coin toss has nothing to do with honoring the country.

Rooting for the ratbirds is gonna be just as bad if not worse. You're gonna have RGMe and his antics. I'm pretty sure they're kneeling, too.

To me it seems as the majority of what we’ve seen during this offseason was pre-planned. Dumbass Dan probably wasn’t expecting being directly tied to the cheerleader harassment but the rest, especially the name change he knew.

From here on out I’m a casual fan at best and leaning toward a permawalk every day. But the way this team laid down and let the SJW’s have their way with our team’s heritage is heartbreaking. That’s when Dan went all in on being the worst owner in history. The assaults that happened during his watch are jail time worthy for him if proven true. This little douche is completely indefensible from here on out.

Gonna make a prediction in that the wtf’s have become so woke this offseason that they’ll not only be winning, but hosting superbowls in the next 2-4 years. The new owner (?) along with the current tm structure & staff will do a damn good job in rebuilding, tho I believe from here on out the preposterous flags & non-calls we’ve witnessed against them are going to swing the opposite way hard.

Any/All team dilemma stops once Snyder is gone & it stops for good. When they’re named the Red Wolves though Boone’s gonna go mental and burn the site down anyway.

As things evolve, I realize I'm not gonna be a Ravens fan either...can't do it. FFS their fans can be intolerable. I like Sean McDermott, may cheer for him in Buffalo. I like Ron Lynn, maybe I will cheer for them. I just don't know. I probably won't be watching much football on Sundays anyway, until it gets colder and not many outside activities can be done. Kinda sad how this name change has affected me. I really feel betrayed...my feelings seems so juvenile, but it's where I am, still.

As for Rivera, it's the whole package, the kneeling at the coin toss is just a symptom of his hypocrisy. He should never have taken this job if the name was such a big deal that he has made it. And his version of social justice at the coin toss is the same as the anthem as far as I am concerned, symbolism. What's he kneeling for...to bring attention to a problem that affects 15-20 people a year? It's all so manufactured. Why isn't he kneeling for the black cop who was shot in the head over the weekend?

Is there a problem with police brutality? Yup, I was beaten by a PG County cop severely...enough so I was able to get off all charges for DUI because the idiot did it after he took my mugshot with no lumps on my head. Are police brutally targeting black men at epidemic proportions? No. So leave politics out of the game or maintain some consistency. Speak out for your cause off the field, but if you're going speak out about black life, do it across the board for the black cops being killed, and the black kids being killed in the inner cities at record numbers, as well.

I think you're being ridiculously hard on Rivera - who just got here for God's sake - and already has had to navigate more drama and turmoil than Joe Gibbs did in an entire career. I get it - a lot of you guys take issue with 'Social Justice Warriors'. I am not a fan of the mob mentality telling me what I should and shouldn't believe. But Rivera also is the leader of a team comprised in large part of young black men. It's not wrong of him to want to show support of them, to show some empathy for legitimate concerns, and I think that whatever he does, it comes from a genuine and caring place. Whether or not each of us would do that same thing doesn't really matter. He's also a big time supporter of law enforcement and the military, and those things are obviously still important to him. I think suggesting, because he's not publicly announcing his position on every crime that occurs, that he doesn't is also ridiculous.

There's not an NFL coach alive who isn't going to have to navigate the current environment and decide how best to express their own feelings, while also recognizing that players and staff members all have their own perspective. Their perspective might not matter to you, but a coach doesn't have the luxury of dismissing concerns of those they coach and are responsible for as wantonly as you do.

There are going to be things expressed over this NFL season you and others won't like. Democracy, as I'm fond of saying, is a bitch. We all have the ability to either watch and continue to support the team, or not to.

John, I am just going to agree to disagree. You can call it however you want...Ron Rivera is a hypocrite, and has been a part of tearing down the history of this team.

Give him slack because he coaches young men wildly misinformed? How about taking the time to explain to them they're being lied to. Maybe teach them some truth instead of allowing the lie to perpetuate, ruining a game I once loved.

As if we never existed...

Say what you will about Biden, this is not about him...it's about erasing history. In this case, a history that deeply affected me for the majority of my life.
