Random Cool Photo

Sure...Pete posts images with camel toe and he is lauded. I post images like that and I'm a perv.

Well, you ARE a perv :) As demonstrated by the fact that you found camel toe in Pete's photo ...

You sound like a former crack smoking mayor

Here's a nice wholesome one, though with that glare, she could be a child of the corn.... cranberries.... whatever.

Not all that cool a photo but have you guys ever seen/heard of wooden water pipe? This is how they rolled in the 40's and 50's in some places.

I've heard of them, but never saw one... pretty cool. Looks like they split up a log, hollowed it out, put a layer of latices around it, and wrapped with some sort of treated cord.

I had another pic that showed how it's fitted, pic issues I suppose. Jeez this concoction looks soooo much more difficult to make then install compared to what we use nowadays. image.jpg

Btw not sure you can see it but they were coated with some kind of tar-like sealant before banded.

Here's a couple more.. the first I actually got a hair up my arse when I noticed a family members name on a business in the background, and spent about 6 weeks working on it. Shame ya can't see the high res stuff, it pretty cool.

This other one, I started about 2 years ago. Sometimes I loose the flow of a photo, and shelf it for a while. It's known as the "Speedway," and was along the Harlem River. While any remnants were long gone by the time my sorry ass arrived in the Bronx, the bridge in the background is still the same for the most part today. I've seen that bridge from every angle countless times, but it never had the charm it did back in the day.

The lesser known George Washington Bridge... and speedway.

Pretty cool. I have to ask since you said you work on the photos. Are you finding old photos and restoring them?

Ran across this today. I had just gotten a DSLR and learning about photography when I tried my a night shot down in Belize.

Pete, kudos once again! Your work is amazing! I know how time consuming it is.

DF, nice shot. Night time photography can be extremely tricky. Here's one of mine.

Each of you - amazing. Wish I had the talent, but will take pleasure in what everyone does here and will post for peeps like me. Thanks a bunch!

Great shot. I do some restoration when needed, but mostly colorize old stuff. I don't get out to shoot too often unfortunately. Check my sight some day when ya have a little time. Here's the two pics in stages.

Thanks BB, I'm just a kid with a coloring book...

And no cracks about the photobucket account, I've had it a very long time.... LOL

It's weird, but sometimes I get on a roll with photos. It's like an addiction to a drug, and I just can't stop. Here's another I started some time back. Florida, circa 1934 I'm guessing. Licence plate is 1930.

I know.... I'm getting carried away with posting all these colorizations. I'm trying to stop, I swear. I just tend to loose myself in them when I'm stressed...
