As much as Gruden says he wants to make sure Morris gets the ball, I'm not feeling like he wants to make it an identity of this team. Morris has 10 rushes for 55 yards with 1 TD at half. 9 for 37 and 1 TD in the second. Yes, he got 19 rushes and thrown his way a few times, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated that we don't seem to run him in situations that will make a point to us and the other team.
We had a number of 2nd and 6 yards or less to go and we only gave it to Morris once on a 2nd and 1. The other 4 times we passed. Then Robert ran it on a 3rd and 1 and we gave it to Helu out of shotgun on a 3rd and 2, and 3rd and 1. I guess it is possible we audibled out of a run on some of those and maybe it's the style Gruden wants to play. But I would really like us to try and establish an identity with Morris and pound it consistently.
For the game, here is how his runs spread out:
1st down - 13 rushes 60 yards
2nd down - 5 rushes 26 yards
3rd down - 1 rush 6 yards
