Well, we'll find out. It's not like griffin is a fragile wine glass. Itll likely take more than 15 yards to put him out. So how many penalties is it worth? 5? 8?

Griffin delt with this last year. I still don't see what the big deal is.

Maybe they did, but I think that's how Fasano had his season ended this year, and they were talking about how they hadn't paid enough attention to the knees (focusing on the head).

Gregg Williams is not the "lone" Dr Evil, in a league full of "saints" (no pun intended)
He's just the scapegoat, imo

This is the quote we all heard and read about. But, immediately after, Griffin said this:

"If I'm not ready to go, I can swallow my pride and not play. If there's an ounce of doubt, or a minor setback, then I won't play."

Straight from the horse's mouth. This entire controversy was completely manufactured; sometimes I think Washington sports media are worse than the political guys!

If Merriweather doesn't play Monday, or doesn't last a full game, I swear I am DONE with him. I'm cutting him from the Redskins that I imaginarily coach. Time to move on, and stop wasting a roster spot on a guy who clearly is as fragile as a spider web.

Well... Some of it was manufactured. Griffin being pissed at shanahans comments and texting Trey Wingo wasn't manufactured. The breakdown in communication inside the team wasn't manufactured, or if it was then it was manufactured by the parties involved.

It's really strange, isn't it? Former players are very hit-or-miss as coaches. But he has certainly had success as both. He really seems to be a top notch offensive line coach, and might be a great HC. I'm forced to wonder if maybe there's something else going on with him that we don't know about.

I hardly ever hear his name mentioned for coaching vacancies anymore. Maybe he's just enjoying retirement?

Must be a case of the latter (voluntary golf).....because of course his coaching resume proves he isn't one of those "hit or misses"
 
Been on and off the phone the last few days organizing the tailgate. Gets me so excited. Going to be hard to sleep tonight and tomorrow...
