Show Yourselves!

Wow - beautiful....what more can you say? :)

Thanks for the reply; but you know, you are not measured in what you have, etc., with regards to the kind of fan you are.. it's what is in your heart. That doesn't cost money, etc. I just happen to have a few neat things that have come my way through a lifelong family history of redskins fandom. The few things I have that mean that much to me makes up for all the "stuff" money can buy.

The goal post is neat though.. until now I just did not have anywhere to put it and show it off.

geez..i need to step my redskins game up if i want to come anywhere near the glory that is yours. love the goal post!!

Thanks :) The only thing that did not really come through in any of the pictures is the paint job.. gold about halfway up with a row of Redskins border paper, above that a strip of burgundy with the basic white being to the ceiling to show off pictures, etc.

I can remember telling people about the goal post but because I lived in a single wide mobile home I could never display it... now it is part of this room; I've had repair people, etc., come in and even though I'm in Steeler's country, once they realize what that is, they are impressed. :)

That goalpost is crazy cool! I remember jumping up and down on my bed just after Charley Taylor caught TD #2......what a great day that was!

And I thought my home office being painted in Skins colors was cool... :(

I need to get with the program, obviously.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Doc, that stuff is wicked cool! I thought I had some cool 'Skins stuff - heck, I don't even have a starter kit compared to what you've got there. Awesome!

Thanks

Thanks for all the neat comments, but remember, being a REDSKINS fan is in the heart.. it's not measured by how much "stuff" you have. Anyone with money can buy "stuff". Some of mine mean the world to me because it is Redskins and it has some sort of emotional attachment, whether it be my family, my late husband, or friends. (That's not to say that people who have the money to buy stuff aren't fans, but that's not the way to measure the degree of "being a fan".. if you know what I mean)... if I had money.. trust me, I'd have "stuff"... I just treasure what I have.

I'd MUCH rather do better in the NFL Pickem :)

As silly as it may seem one of my favorite things is a crystal dish with the Redskins logo etched on the top my late husband gave me and inside is a marble on a stand.. just one marble with the Indian Head logo on it. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it, but he gave it to me the night he proposed.

Anyway, attached though is a picture of my newest addition. Friends of mine had a store in Manassas (Two Days Gifts) which closed earlier this year. They "pulled" something from the store for me and I was just able to get with Katie this past week to get what they pulled. Among what they pulled was this...it's roughly 24 inches in diameter/square (it's in a black "frame").

I love it :)

Neon sign seen from street

Put my neon sign in my front picture window pointing out; pictures below; the blurred one is just one for effect; it lights up my house and the houses to each side.

The one with some light is done with a flash to show the light.

Here's one of me on the dock at Sleepy Hollow from this past Sundays day of riding.

I used to love taking the Harley out to Okeechobee Lake and back when I was living in West Palm. Wide open roads and very little traffic! I had planned to take a trip around the lake but never go to it, just out to Clewiston.

The ride around the lake can be tiresome this time of the year with all the tourists. Sleep Hollow is in Floral City, mostly farm land with some nice rolling hills, and actual twisty back roads. Did just over 530 miles Sunday.

The pic with the bike is actually about 100 yards off Lake Okeechobee, on the edge of the town of Okeechobee. It's where me and the boys do our annual camp out. Friend owns the land, and the cattle don't mind us getting drunk and silly.

Yeah, I have watched a couple sunsets over the lake. It's amazing that it has never been built up around there, good thing for those of us who do know about it. Nice little hidden treasure.

This be me - from last summer. Yes, I look younger than my actual years - thanks for the good genes Mom.

The top one is of my dad and I at Christmas....the man who is responsible for my Redskins obsession :)

2nd one is my first fish caught with a fly rod! My brother netted the fish and wouldn't give it to me, so I'm in the background screaming and hollering for him to give me back my fish, lol.

The 3rd is Salmon fishing with my big brother.

Awesome pics folks - hadn't seen that photo of you BB - wow, you are youthful looking...

Katie, nice to see you round these parts - both you and your fish are lovely

BB, you probably set the record on "Oldest age at which someone chronically got carded."

BTW, Katie, good to hear from you! You've been missed. :)

Ricky has been pestering for the last hour - he saw that someone had posted salmon and that is his absolute favorite. :)

Like I said, it is the genes. The only thing that gives my age away is the gray hair that is now creeping in. Most people take me for around 40 though and that is a-ok.

Great to see you here Katie.

this b me....in2011..:D
