The other way to look at it is if Gulbin is the back up center it means he is active on game days which also would mean that if a guard goes down during the game he needs to be an option to step in at guard. Guessing they needed to give him reps at guard for just the reason?
I don't think he survives on the practice squad. Would love to see him develop and take over foe Mariotta next year. Man roster cuts going to be tough.
