Game thread: Skins/pats

Telegraphed it. Stared down the receiver the whole way.

That close to the end zone you're always throwing into a crowd-Brennan did telegraph the crap out of it tho'.

Problem with a guy like Brennan is, he can't color between the lines. The 'coach in your head' inside the 10 yard line is saying only one thing. 'Don't make a mistake that costs us points'. Period. You can't do that - you can't go gunslinger inside the 10 when a FG is guaranteed. That's the kind of 'lack of judgment' that'll make up a coach's mind permanently.

That, IMO, is what gives Daniel an advantage, to me at least in the jockeying for the #3 QB slot-he thinks like a pro QB.

I agree, Boone. Aggressive mistakes at midfield are one thing. Down by the goal line, they're inexcusable. Twice in two weeks ... there's a good chance that play cost Colt Brennan his job.

Nice play by Barnes. I hope he comes on strong. I NEVER want to see Tryon have to go on the field in the regular season. He just looks lost.

Looks like Zorn took the ball out of Brennan's hands. Good coaching ... he's letting Colt settle back in.

Unfortunately, the OL he has Colt playing behind is going to get the kid QB killed.

Question is, how many of those INTs are you going to have to live with in order to enjoy one of those spectacular TD throws? I get the feeling Zorn is all about the trust factor.

Not to take anything away from Colt on that one. I think Brennan has more 'feel' for where to place a ball in his pinky than JC will have at the peak of his career. It's more a matter of whether he can learn to play without taking unnecessary, stupid risks.

Getting giddy here over Mitchell. He's gonna make them keep him and play him.

Good god, what an embarrassing illegal contact call that was.

NFL, much?

I really hate preseason officiating.

That wonderful run-canceling hold by the Pats was dumb...for them, anyway.:)

Tell you what I'm finding interesting ... Blache calling a pretty aggressive game with backups in. He's got them going after the QB

He should probably remind them the other team is allowed to run the ball straight up the middle, though.

Looks like Blades got the memo. :claps:
