I mean, I disagree. They couldn't run block. Was that scheme, coaching, player issues...all 3?

The OL was over hyped due to pass blocking improving as the season went on, but the run blocking was not a plus.

For the record I also think this is weird, I'm hoping they explain it in a way that doesn't drag the player through the mud.

I think it’s a combination. I think our backs did a pretty poor job hitting holes, though I think Rodriguez was best at it.

There has to be a reason, and I’m betting it’s due to injury news. I can’t think of any other reason that this move was made right now before we even secure a replacement and there is a higher cap hit than savings unless designated as June 1st. And even then… why now?

The Biadasz move in a vacuum makes no sense--it doesn't even save that much. I want to see the corresponding move before really reacting. If it's Brandon Coleman, I'll throw something against a wall.

I have my criticisms, but AP isn’t Bruce Allen. I’ll likely disagree with whatever the reason is but I’m sure it’ll be better than anything Allen came up with.

Good listen, everybody should listen to it. It gives some context to the release now and why.

Talked about a lot but some highlights:

1) Keim was mildly surprised
2) Biadasz wasn't great last year and they felt that
3) They've all been down at the combine talking to player agents (timing on release)
4) Giving Biadasz time to catch on with another team
5) Yes, Allegretti can play center/guard (didn't sound like that was the plan but we'll see) but they are going to find competition (FA)
6) Explained difference in post June 1st savings but this is not a salary dump
7) He talked about the Tunsil deal and how this is completely different than the Terry deal
8) Also talked about how they are going to be very aggressive and going after players in FA
9) They won't overpay for Paul, Coleman could be brought along there

It could be that AP is giving too much trust to coach input which I think is possible.

I think if these moves came with an experienced and trusted OL coach, I would have fewer concerns. I just don’t know if Stapleton / Blough / AP is a good combo, and that… is a big problem going into y3 and having head scratchers.

I think they go after McGovern, he is a better run blocker than Biadasz. I still hate that they released him now. I wanted them to look at him when he ended out signing will the Bills

If McGovern hits FA. I haven’t followed centers at all so I don’t know who is definitely on the market vs rumors about being re-signed.

I’m going to have to watch some games with a focus on Biadasz, too. It has to be worse than I originally thought it was…

I am not sure about their evals but can give them the benefit of the doubt, but I don’t know if they tried to trade him. I get they liked him. Wouldn’t you talk to him and maybe try to trade him him?

That aspect maybe seems like the worst part. If I sign up to “they didn’t like him” - ok - but why not try to get something for him? It feels like the best teams always do that and our cup needs refilling

I highly doubt they did a 180 on Biadasz in the month Blough and Stapleton took over, but it's possible. But if Blough is saying that Biadasz can't do what he needs him to do, hypothetically, why keep him, even as a backup?

This is the thing for me. Can we spend our available salary cap before we start letting guys go??? The last two years we let decent players go, apparently for cap space, and then we don’t even end up spending it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I guess we just have to let it play out. When something makes zero sense like this it usually means there is information we are not privy to.

He sure seemed to be a solid player in 24. I am wondering if showed weakness in 25.

When his contract expired there was no talk of the Cowboys looking to bring him back. They were at ease with moving from him and now we are. He seemed to have trouble with the bigger and more aggressive DT's

I get the sense they are going to pin the run game issues on him and not try to do much at RB. That would be frustrating.

They’ll sign a back, for sure. But I’m guessing they aren’t really looking at Love/the top FA backs. But we’ll see.
