The 2026 Free Agency Thread

No way.

Who the hell is available (besides Linderbaum who I don’t expect us to get in a bidding war over)

The Bills Center, Ethan Pocic, Lloyd Cushenberry

My sleeper would be Matt Hennessey. DQ was in Atlanta for his rookie year. He was a starter thru 22, blew out his knee in camp in 23, struggled to find a home in 24 and was Jake Brendel’s backup in 25.

re: Biadasz

Just surprised we didn't wait a bit to see what we were able to pull in FA first 🤷

There’s an argument that making him available now may prevent a rival suitor for the player we actually want from needing that target center, since Biadasz will be a starter for someone else.

I will say that Biadasz did not look good to end the year and got beaten up the last few weeks.

I think it goes beyond that, but it is jarring since it felt like we had 80% of the OL locked down and now we have two important interior spots where we absolutely have to spend $$ to acquire plus starters…on top of everything else

I didn't see this coming, as I thought of him as a dependable "B" level player, and I figured they'd address the D- spots first. What was the reason you predicted this move?

I was surprised by the Bobby Johnson firing. I felt Biadasz would get the blame on the field for poor line calls and protections. We know they really value this, especially working alongside a young QB in JD5

Didn't Biadasz tear his ACL at the end of the year? Might be a confluence of his health, new offensive system, etc., that led to his release. He may not even be available much next season.

He didn’t, he missed time but didn’t tear anything, and no surgery was needed

Releasing Biadasz and Tunsil needing an extension… we’re making a room that was solid not solid.

They better have a grand plan for Linderbaum.

So from talking to Ravens fans, apparently they're pretty conflicted about Linderbaum. Various metrics all paint him as a Top 5 run blocking Center...but his pass blocking is consistently Bottom 10 in whatever pass blocking metric you look at. They think his run blocking is essential for Lamar and Henry to keep doing their thing, but at the same time don't like how many muddy pockets Lamar has to work with.

I didn't realize his pass blocking was that much of an issue...he does have really short arms at just 31 & 1/8th so I guess it makes sense.

Glad you're on this thread. Since Tennessee released Cushenberry, they now have 120 bazillion dollars of capspace to crush anyone in a bidding war if Baltimore even lets Linderbaum get away. I hope you're right as I currently fear that If we get Lindy it's gonna cost us a lot of cap space. Either we're gonna see a Rivera type disassembly of our line or end up spending the funds we needed elsewhere.

I don’t get it. We are doing everything in a way that I don’t love…

Hope they have a solid plan to replace our Center

I can totally buy that Biadasz is not the ideal center for our offense and what Blough/Quinn want to do. I can also buy that he’s a bit overrated just because he’s steady and above replacement level at a position where it feels good to set and forget a starter for a few years, as a fan.

But I cannot buy that we actually have a high likelihood of improving upon Biadasz this year, especially when we already have so many needs and places to spend our cap space (if we do). What’s the plan? Why do I never feel comfortable with our apparent plans?

Which, this all means I cannot buy that this is going to help this regime keep their jobs. So it’s confusing even if in a vacuum I can acknowledge that Biadasz is nothing special

I think yall just liked saying Badass too much. He was good and it is a head scratcher but im sure they have a plan.
