Well I sure agree that wee do not have the assets for Maxx. I can still see AP swing and miss at a trade

This is where we need to figure out the Tunsil situation. He COULD be a piece that we could use to get a guy like Crosby IF we aren't going to pay him. I don't want to do that. I think Tunsil is critical. But sitting on Tunsil, IF we aren't planning on paying him, is senseless.

But I am going to assume we are going to pay him. And he'll be a cornerstone LT for us for the next few decades.

Calling Shenanigans on that.

2 first rounders + a defensive starter isn't enough for Crosby? Parsons was 26, Crosby will be 29 in the first seasons with their new team. That kind of matters a lot.

And Crosby is a great player but he’s racked up 10 or fewer sacks a season for most of his career. Again, really great player. Great locker room guy seemingly as well, not that he could do anything to help that Raiders culture. But he’s not worth more than Parsons was, not by a long shot. And yes, almost a whole contract older.

If that’s what it’ll cost then the Raiders aren’t serious and they’ll never move him. Teams are going to be wary after watching both the Packers and Colts both trade multiple 1sts for defensive studs and lose them to serious injury for a majority of the season, not putting them over the top. How many reckless teams are there left? Maybe a true contender that’s drafted well but has a shrinking QB window like the Rams.

Be interesting to see easily by a mile the most arrogant team in the NFL does in FA. I mentioned last off season that it felt like Peters and Quinn were feeling themselves some. But the Giants take it up a few notches from that.

It's the most arrogant 4 win team that I can recall. I saw some Philly reporter say he thinks the Giants are the biggest threats to them. Between that and some in the the national media making them their favs to go from last to the playoffs -- its been a nauseating ride especially after Harbaugh landed their.

lol, hopefully it adds another log to the fire for Peters to step it up in FA.

Matching sweaters, how cute.
Overhyped and overconfident… Definitely on brand for a New York team. I don’t usually give gambling advice, but definitely take the under on their win total next year.

Am I the only one not that impressed with/scared of John Harbaugh? He's not some Andy Reid-type genius
How do you compare him to Jim?

I think both know how to hire and set an org, which are big deals but I don’t think either is an Andy Reid type genius; however, few are.

Yeah he is getting blown up 10x being in the NY media nexus

I view him and Jim pretty similarly and think they're great coaches. But NY is paying him like $18M a year and he reports directly to ownership. I don't see the relationship with Schoen working effectively, and I don't see him at that rarified level where his coaching in of itself can get a team over the hump. He's still living off his first five years/SB win, and he won't have Ozzie Newsome and Eric DeCosta with him in NY.

Haven’t had the chance to mess with this yet, but seems like something people here might be into:

Yeah, we’ve seen this movie before several times. “Coach centric”. It NEVER works no matter how good the coach is/was.
Before long giants fans will be calling for his firing and demanding a GM

Harbaugh saying we are coming after Philly, that's the team they will build their scheme around defeating, some Philly reporter saying the Giants likely scare the Eagles the most in the division, Harbaugh arrogant as heck so far billing up Dart as special, and the talent of the roster, the NY media billing Harbaugh as some type of Lombardi clone and Harbaugh acting like he indeed is, an analytic guy saying the Giants could be a SB contender, Fowler picking the Giants as a potential last to the SB team, Skaetebo and Dart saying you'll see them in the SB soon. Lol, when will it stop.

This team heading into 2025 got a bit hype through the roof and it felt to me it got to Peters and Quinn's head. But the Giants coming off a 4 win season, are getting probably more hype than Washington did headed to the 2025 season, its wild.

Part of me likes it, the Giants at least between some in the media, and because of the bravado coming from that team seems to be considered a better team perception wise by many heading into 2026 than Washington -- hopefully that adds to Peters-Quinn's humility and hunger.

I've been clear for years how much I hate the Giants, more so than any team. Some would say I have also been worried about them some years for no reason, that's fair. They've underacheived for sure. But all the bombast coming from that team and Harbaugh -- few things would please me more than seeing that team crash.

Let them focus on Philly. By the time they get there, if they ever do, Philly won’t be Philly anymore anyway. You can already see it starting to slip. O line getting old, receivers turning into divas. Saquon hitting 30, Hurts weaknesses starting to be exposed. Howie Roseman can’t keep getting lucky forever. They’ve got a piece of wood propping the window open, but it won’t stay that way much longer. The bill is coming due on all their salary cap games.

So the Giants and all their media cheerleaders do have one thing right, the division is there for the taking. Let’s see who can take it.

Well, besides the greatest dynasty of all time and Bill Belichick, who apparently isn’t even a hall of fame coach!

In all seriousness, I could give two less about what the Giants, Eagles or Cowboys are doing.

We have to take care of our own house first to worry about them.

Their seasons being awful mean nothing if ours is worse or similar.

Do I think Harbaugh is a good hire? Yes. Do I think coach centric will work? No idea. Do I care? Not particularly. If we take care of business it doesn’t matter what they do.

here’s what all of this does mean (and already meant prior): Peters has to produce. And so does Quinn.

Welcome to the resistance.

You're using the word clear rather ambiguously here.

You spent so many years hating the giants but talking about how great they were it was hard to tell where allegiances lay, this feels like the moment Vader threw the emperor into the pit.

I tease, nobody really questioned who you were pulling for, fans dont keep warm around this dumpster fire for decades unless they're real fans.

Ps, give your family the bird for me, 😉

Well yeah, sure, if we’re going to be all rational about it. It’s always enjoyable to poke fun at our hated rivals, but you’re right we need to get this team to another level before anything they are doing matters. That said, I’m going to continue to bash those teams every chance I get regardless of what we are doing!

lol, good memeory. As for the Giants for me partly its been

A. Until recent years no matter how bad the Giants werre they still had Washington's number

B. Their talent wasn't bad. They've at a minimum had star power going back to Beckham, Barkley that this team hasn't shared. Even today, taking Jayden out of the equation, do we have a receiver as good as Nabers when healthy? We can tout all day long Payne or even Allen back in the day but they are a joke compared to Dexter Lawrence. Brian Burns >> M. Sweat.

But they have had a series of joke level coaches, Judge, Macado, Daboll, etc.

But as a fan of this team I couldn't always enjoy the seasons when Washington were better because the Giants often won that series anyway or at least would split it. lol, I also have seen that matchup live numerous times with the Giants fans in my family, Washington lost every one of those games in both DC and NY. I thought the luck would change when Devito started against them years ago in DC and Washington was a sizeable favorite but lol Washington lost that one, too.

But yeah for example when I talked to my mother in law from NY during the season and she goes she constantly hears Dart is another Daniels, and she buys into it. Then I hear a NY reporter before the matchup this season saying he's not sold on Daniels but Dart is the real deal. It's nauseating to me and lol I guess I am exposed to it too much in part because as a Yankees fan I read the NY sports pages and follow their writers so I got a full dose of Giants propaganda.

And I gather Harbaugh will double down on testing my resolve to deal with their bravado. I guess I didn't pay attention to how arrogant Harbaugh was but wow its off the charts.
