Official Game Thread - Week 11 - International Game - Dolphins vs Commanders

We took away his defensive coordinator, now we need to take away personnel decisions.

Gay or DQ. One of them had better not be at the next practice.

This loser has two strikes against him already--getting Jayden hurt unnecessarily, and keeping Gay on the roster for some unknown reason. 3 strikes and he's out.

A number one receiver catches that TD that Moses? couldn't bring in.

I mean, Terry brings that in too... but I agree with the point that we don't have weapons on offense. I just think positional value would push you into WR or TE in the early 1st (over RB).

If we think Tyson, Lemon, or Tate are future #1 WRs, that's a good target IMO... I don't watch enough CFB to say, just stat watch...

The DQ presser drinking game, take a shot every time he says "space" or "spaces"

on second thought, I don't want y'all to die, so maybe not

Well, on the bright side, the nightmare was finished earlier than usual. Meant I could rake some leaves. And hopefully the good people of Espana will not remember, assuming any even watched it.

And a shout out to our latest KR- Chase Edmonds. We share the same Alma Mater.

Other than that, it cannot get more frustrating.

I don’t mind exhibitions overseas but being made to watch a hometown team play a regular season game at zero dark thirty is just BS.

English Premier League and others play parlays over here but nobody moves meaningful games that count here.

Did Bethesda get moved to a different time zone BD?

I kinda like 9:30 on a Sunday morning.

I don’t see Arsenal or Real Madrid playing regular season games that count in the US in circus like environment.

The kid goes from being benched and cut, to a shut down corner?? I mean,, is their DC a coaching guru or wtf?! Why is it always us that gets donkey punched 😥🤷

It could be that Tom Donatell through 6 or 7 different DBs in 2 years has brought out the worst statistically over all of them- and still has a job and seems to be trusted by the HC based on presser comments.

Personally, when I look at the data I can see, I don’t get it.

He shouldn't be coordinating anybody's secondary. As the coaching carousel spins, sometimes the guys you want aren't available, so you settle. Hopefully an improvement is coming our way next season. Donatell wasn't ready. Talk to some of those guys in SD. They will confirm.

Wow just one year as a full time lead position coach before coming here. There is also the nepotism piece of this. Whitt worked for his dad in GB and did him a favor hiring his son to come work here.

While we went and hired this bum, Sean Payton went and hired Jim Leonhard

I think Jason Simmons was Whitt’s guy too. They were together in GB.

Reading the tea leaves here, I wouldn’t be surprised if we boot these two guys when we boot Whitt

I have meant to look for the nepotism connections at some point; I figured there were some with Ed Donatell given his career. Interesting information.

I have to admit, it looks like Ed has a fairly disconnected direct connection with his son. So, it could be that the interview is sort of like, "Hey I know this guy's father, I am really comfortable with this guy" and so it's not like "I am hiring him no matter what" but there can easily be a bias based on that ease of communication and comfort level, rather than a clean eval of Xs and Os.

This is part of what I was getting at in that other thread where I was discussing how you'd hire coordinators. You have to be really careful to even protect yourself from yourself. We are all human. I am sure some real nepotism exists and occurs, but I also think that some guys may think they are being somewhat impartial and picking the best guys... while they are emphatically not. Some of it is human nature.

Yeah that pisses me off!
Just kill me
Yeah I wouldn't call him good just yet. Apparently he was making BSJ and Lattimore look passive when it came to holding and DPI. On a pass break up a lot of people were lamenting, he got a PBU despite being burnt by three yards, because of a horribly under thrown ball.

He's still probably better and more physical than Quan Martin.
