Official Game Thread - Week 9 - Seahawks @ Commanders

I’d love to be a fly on the wall for tomorrow’s Tell the Truth Monday extravaganza.
 
Dan Quinn legitimately deserves to be fired.

I know he won’t. Sergeant Slogan will talk about competing and how much a competitor Daniels is, blah blah.

He should be tarred and feathered at the 50 yard line.
 
I stopped watching the game, put my headphones on and was listening to music because I couldn't watch it anymore. Before I did that, I said that we should probably take Jayden out. I randomly lookup at the TV a long time later and everyone is kneeling on the ground. I see Wagner so I'm thinking it's a defensive player.

I don't wish injury on anyone, especially our own team but I waa literally like, at least it's not Jayden. Then I see ertz and realize that it's an offensive player. Then I'm like, out of the whole roster, it has to be someone other than Jayden. Sure enough I manage to hear tirico say Daniels before they went to commercial.

What a nightmare and what an eerily RG3 situation all over again. This is the most deflating season. We are back to square one again. We have to rebuild this team from the ground uo. The only good thing is that it was his arm, not leg, and it's not his throwing arm. Still, he takes way too many hits, even if he were huge, let alone small.

In the short term, I waa going to write earlier that the offense now actually runs better with Mariota than it does Jayden for whatever reason and kliffs play callingis far better with Marcus. It's just going to suck and be a long process again. Nightmare season

Dude you came here to say “I told you so” and been waiting to say it. Bad taste and bad judgement but idiocy is the way of the world these days.
 
On defense, people need to stop fighting about if it's the players or coaching. It's clearly both. People act like they both can't be trash. They are... Lol
 
I was calling elsewhere on the internet for JD to be removed from the game starting the 4th quarter. Turns out I was right. Zero reason he should have been in the game. I can understand playing him to work on his development, but not in that scenario. A joke.

Season is over. Trade whoever you can.
 
I challenge the folks frustrated with Jayden to watch the tape. Our offense is anemic. Predictable is a compliment. Teams know they have to defend about 10 yards. They play man and get aggressive. We’ve got no answers. No receivers that can get separation. There is nobody to throw the ball to. It’s a legitimate disaster and Kliff has absolutely no answers.
 
I don’t really blame DQ. I hate to say it, but this was always the worry drafting Jayden.

He should be able to come back from this, but I’ll be surprised if it is this season.

Professional franchises don’t run their QB back out onto the field in that situation hardly ever. I’ve seen Stroud, Young, Burrow, and others benched in similar situations in recent years.

The injury issues with Daniels are another discussion. Quinn putting him in that position is nearly unforgivable though. He knows it, too. The look on his face on the sideline as CRod ran in the pointless TD was haunted.

It’s also a faux pas in that Seattle took their foot off the pedal and was mercy killing the clock for us when they could have kept scoring essentially at will with 12:00 left on the game clock. Trying hard to score for ego after that is tacky as hell. After Quinn went for it on 4th and 15 at mid field after Seattle declined a penalty that would’ve made it 3rd and 30, btw. Another attempt to let us off the hook and end the game faster. Twice Quinn spit in the eye of good sportsmanship because he’s as frustrated as we are, and he was punished for it in the end.
