It's possible St. Juste just needed a change of scenery. That happens sometimes.

I haven't thought about it, but maybe it's not Whitt, maybe it's the CB coach? I'm not even sure who that is? (And I have to run to a meeting so won't look it up right now...)

I think St. Juste was better the season before Whitt was here, too. And I said that this off season let alone after his supposed resurgence in LA.

Like I've been saying this off season, I am not sold on Whitt. I explained it deeper in the defense thread. I am not out on him either. I'll give it time.

Chargers are missing Mack and Alt. 2 of their best players. Overall though we are going to be down a lot more players and JD probably isn't 100%.

The NFL is so random though that anything could happen. I don't expect to win though. Not with that defense. Not with how they have been playing on the road as well. We might have more fans in the stands but the team still has to travel across the country.

I thought BSJ was going to become a good starting corner after 2022. I felt he held his own that season and I remember being impressed with him the way he battled with AJ Brown.

I think he had major confidence issues in 23 and 24 and he has rediscovered his form playing for his college coach

Apparently yes, he said it's not his favorite thing but he'll do whatever it takes to get on the field.

I took this to mean the docs want the brace. This was the latest I found on it - maybe it could yet change but looks like it right now.

Actually he was non committal about it when asked, just said "we'll have to wait & see on Sunday".

Was listening to a Chargers reporter talked about how good St. Juste is. Couldn't believe it. Then I looked up his PFF scores and they were very good.

Meh, this is revisionist history. He sucked ass while he was here. He single handedly lost us the game against the Steelers last year, a game that may have made us the #1 seed by the end of the season.

Honestly, I never understood why fans hated St Juste so much. Sure he got beat on occasion, but he was also a tough competitor who made plays.

The most frustrating thing with BSJ is he rarely got beat and just have a guy wide open. More often than not he was right there but would seem to panic when the ball came and interfere with his man instead of trying to play the ball.
