Official Game Thread - NFC CHAMPIONSHIP - Commanders @ Eagles

Definitely career ending.

Albert Haynesworth hotdog disease. Should really get a compensory pick for him.

*I think Payne is a good player, but blowing cap space on interior DL is not a good investment*

Let's all just admit. We have seen more, and gone further than any one of us could have ever imagined 6 months ago.

Jaden Daniels, alone, with little else, did so more than we ever could have expected.

Where is the Payne stuff coming from?

All I saw on X were fans dismissing his absence as if his loss wasn’t significant. Which I thought was silly.

But here is the first I saw someone question his manhood over it. Makes no sense he’d willfully sit out. Makes way more sense that his knee would make him less effective than the next man up.

On a broadcast last night, they talked about Payne; JP Finlay watched practice this past week and said that Payne had an ice pack on his knee all week, and it appeared that as the week went on, the ice pack got bigger and bigger. He DID, however, say that he thought Payne would end up playing Sunday so he seemed surprised by the change in news.

That said, the idea that Payne would sit out vs the team and him having concerns about him being better than his backup under his constraints just doesn't make a lot of sense.

The Universe doesn't operate with a full sense of justice. So, it is possible the Eagles win a Super Bowl. I hope not. As much as a Chiefs three-peat also sounds stupid, it's probably the better outcome than an Eagles Super Bowl. At least the Chiefs three-peat makes the Patriots / Brady / Belichick dominance sound a bit more watered down, which has value to me.

Meanwhile, Samajae Perine makes the play the seals the win for the Chiefs.

This league......
The Super Bowl literally nobody in America wanted outside of Philadelphia and Kansas City is the one we get.

SIGH

Can we go ahead and fast-forward to the draft? The fact that I have to pull for the Chiefs in this situation annoys the shit out of me. Better they win 3 in a row than the Eagles win their 2nd.

I’m sure it’s been talked about in here, particularly in the heat of the moment.

But with a little time to cool off, I’m still feeling like that ML trade was a bust. I get why they made the trade. I wanted to make the trade at the time. But…

Beyond getting owned by the best in the game, he’s a basket case emotionally. He had the audacity to cite the 3 turnovers today rather than take ownership for his own play.

The NFL is rigged. We shot ourselves in the foot but the refs were clearly slanted toward the Eagles and then to the Chiefs. They wanted this rematch and also so the Taylor Swift sheeple would tune in to artificially inflate the ratings. Unless you are the NFL's golden child like the Chiefs and the Patriots before them, forget about winning anything of note.

I’m hoping for JD to become the next golden child.

You need to learn league rules before continuing to post about strength & conditioning stuff, over and over. They will not be allowed work & prepare “as if they made the Super Bowl” until mini camps. And those are very limited. And then again for OTA’s. Which are also limited.
I'm angry and upset with losing by 32 to a team we defeated in December despite losing the turnover battle in that December game. The Los Angeles Rams fought them closer in the playoffs than we did. The west coast LA friggin Rams. It pisses me off and I am upset the Eagles get 2 extra weeks and wish we could do something unofficially to counter.

I think this belongs in the Therapy thread.

Remember we used to rag on Philly for only having 1 SB appearance back in the day?

Now they have 5. Same as us.
