I have to disagree. Lattimore is one of the best corners in the league and we have gotten virtually nothing out of him this season. In his 2 matchups with top receivers he clearly lost both battles, this is not what I was expecting.

I was never a big BRob guy but right now he is killing us. Not many holes but he is not getting what is there, when there is contact he now no longer moves the pile forward. I'd like to see the other backs get more carries, Robinson is not right.

But Hell guys we are sitting at the big boy's table, I still can't believe we are still playing along with teams like the Bills and Chiefs. What a great thing we having going on, the entire country is talking about Jayden Daniels and your Washington Commanders. I don't think many of us doubted that he would take the team to a win when he got it was over 4 minutes. When you have a great QB you always have a chance to win.

I fully expected Baker to get the facemask foul when he was complaining/lieing to the refs.

Also can we please do something about OPI? Not only illegal pick plays but also calling it when WRs push off?

I've watched the Niners run that same pick with Kittle several times this year and every time it was called OPI. Why it was missed this time (and that McMillan appeared to be moving forward while in motion, among several times that wasn't called btw).

Brother, all due respect, but he clearly isn't 100%. He didn't all of a sudden start to be a lousy CB. Anyone who has ever had a hamstring injury knows, it can take months to heal to the point where you are no longer thinking about it and can go 100%. He's already had a set back and that was just a few weeks ago.

I understand fan frustration, I really do. But what do we want from the guy? The coaches put him out there, probably rightfully believing that a limited Lattimore beats the alternative. But it shouldn't be a surprise that he can't handle one of the leagues scariest receivers when he's not at his physical best.

I thought the same and considered it more (didn't re-watch though, couldn't at the time or since), I think the issue was Dyami was both impeded and kind of pushed down, so it was hard to tell. If it's close, they can/should call it, because who knows if the WR can go get it. If they are sure he can't, then yes, don't blow the whistle. Since the contact led to bringing his arms down and the ball was close enough, I think that's what happened.

They missed a huge PI on the Bucs on fourth down, so you know... it's a part of the game unfortunately. Overall I think the refs weren't great, but weren't bad. That probably gets biased by the W but even if they got the L, as long as the crucial drive didn't feature a lot of foibles, I would probably say it wasn't bad.

Yeah, I am going to withhold judgement on the lying part. If he kept on going too much, I think at some point a flag should be flown on him, the ref must have been very clear with him. That was a huge moment by the refs, getting a HUGE non-call RIGHT for once (they got it right, so I won't say to our "benefit" but it would have been huge against us otherwise).

Dude is not fully healthy.
Add to the fact that it looks like the refs don't give him the benefit of the doubt when he is pass interfered with. I do like that he brings a different level of physicality.

Him being out there still means that the QB has to be perfect in placing the ball. Not have an automatic read like they do when St. Juste is lined up across from a Receiver.
 
Washington is on kicker #4.

I am not going to criticize the use of Gonzalez who made a 52 yarder for us and was 3/3 overall.

Austin Seibert came in and was on course for a statement season for us, I think he made his first 13 kicks including a 55 yarder.

He got hurt and we were left to reach for a street free agent.

Anyone see Riley Patterson miss that field goal last week? We kept the right guys to kick based on who was available.
 
After a hot first half Mike Evans had 2 catches for 26 yards in second half.

7 catches for 92 yards and 1 TD is essentially the same production the Commanders got out of Dyami Brown.

Evans is a quality player but he didn’t get chunk plays against this defense like Lamb and AJ Brown.

I think pick plays are being called as OPI.

According to nflpenalties dot com, total is 72 OPI in regular season. With 13 dismissed.

Apparently Washington is just 1 of 4 teams without an OPI this season. And I was wrong, Kittle only has 1. Feels like it was more though..

Tampa fans must be scratching their heads wondering why they got away from Evans. I know I am. While I am sure Whitt had some say in that, Evans is scary and he was unstoppable in the first half - the dudes a baller and can draw PeeEyes and catch contested balls (perv) ... instead they insisted on running Bucky oh and that fateful handoff to McMillen.

I'm just stating there is a reason fans are disappointed and frustrated. Availability is factored in when evaluating a player as well. This is not what any of us was expecting when they traded for him, how can we count on him next season?

I have noticed that as well. So many flags on balls that were never going to be caught.
 
Peters has not commented on the trade.

I think you have to give a 28 year old player with his resume the credit it deserves.

He has been in and out of the lineup trying to contribute and that has probably delayed his recovery.

Hamstrings like the groin pull is a time and rest injury.

It’s not a sore shoulder or bruised ribs you see corners and receivers play through and still be close to 100%.

My guess is Peters gets vindicated and after rest we see a #1 corner here for the next 2-3 years.

Hm, to me right now, the biggest question I have is his attitude. The broadcast team made it sound like MLat may have been demanding 1-on-1 against Evans (it was conjecture but it sounded like it could be true).

If so, did that factor into them being slow to taking him off Evans? Is he going to be one of these CBs who demands 1-on-1 even when it's not so great. We had one of those here before and it was a major problem. Josh Norman didn't fit into what they were doing here, and he could not be relied on to have the 1-on-1 coverage they thought they'd get (basically eliminate the best WR on the other team). I hope Lattimore will take whatever role they see for him, under any circumstance. Next week there is another premiere WR matchup.
 
Hamstrings are tricky and have a mind of their own.

I'll be 52 next month, have a pretty intense workout schedule, lift five days a week and at least walk five days a week. Stretched my right hammy a litttttttle too far doing RDL's and immediately caught myself, stopped and waited for the pain.

It never came.

Next time my leg rotation came up, that hammy said "Nope... not today, bruh" and continued that for like a month. I could do hyperextensions fine and get a bit of a stretch there if I focused on it. I could do leg curls and be fine as long as I kept the weight down and the reps up. A month later, the pain all went away.

Then it snuck up again and said "Yo."

Keep in mind I don't feel it at all daily, I'm not an athlete and I don't have access to the resources they do... and I'm in my 50's LOL!!! I'd give Lattimore a break. Hammies can be tedious to heal and unpredictable. My guess is he's doing what he can, but really needs the offseason to be 100%.
