So when will the Redskins Logo get back on the helmet and playing field?

Again:

NFL constitution and bylaws (h/t Scot Chartrand of Front Office Sports) typically require teams to wait five years to undergo a rebrand, except in certain special circumstances that include a change in ownership.

Ok. Have they asked for an exemption? Are they even looking at it right now? All reports say it's way far down it's list. The article you posted literally said there was no timetable. So...

And just because they ask for one, doesn't mean they get one--I'm pretty sure from what I've read it needs to be approved.

Please show me where it doesn't apply? Or if they're even asking for an exemption?

Sure they MIGHT do it down the road, anything is possible, but it's definitely not now.
"Third, be it Further Resolved, that a Club may not change its regular home and away uniforms more than once every five NFL seasons, and may not change its third uniform design more than once every five NFL seasons, absent specific extenuating circumstances (e.g., Club ownership change or relocation) as determined by the Commissioner"

That's part of Article 19 Resolution G-3 in the NFL Bylaws.

Like I said, it needs to be approved. AND, like I ALSO said, they aren't even looking at it right now. It is not a priority. So debate a wall. I'm out.

Add to the pointlessness of this debate, it's clearly not on their radar right now.

To be fair it might not be on their radar at the moment… and that’s fine, but if the fans stop talking about the issue or stifle discussion…it never will be on their radar. The more time goes by they will make assumptions people have just come around to Commanders and let it be. I would assume like all smart business people they would rather not spend money where they don’t have to. If debate/discussion about the issue dies off…then there is no “issue.”

OK, you don't need to be all pissy about it. You kept (once again, I might add) spreading incorrect information that teams "had to wait" five years. That's not necessarily the case if ownership changes. You asked that someone show you where that was written. We did. Sorry that goes against what you wanted to see or that you're embarrassed you couldn't Google something in 2 minutes.

You don't have to keep discussing the name or brand change. That's fine. But it's a topic that a lot fans care about.

I said two things: one there were league rules against it. I also said it needed to be approved--which I was right about, so, feel free to take that win I guess? If it makes you feel better.

They started research was back in April? This was in June. Like I said, it's not a priority, so this pointless right now. Let me know when there is new information and not your opinion and hope passed off as fact.

"As you would imagine, everybody has an opinion about the name," Majorie Harris, the wife of Commanders majority owner Josh Harris, recently told NBC Sports. "Some good, some bad, some in the middle. I think that we have a lot of work to do, so that name issue is gonna be on the side for now until we can get things going.

"Quite frankly, I had a whole day out in the community, and I kept referring to the team as the Commanders. And you know what? It sounds pretty good to me. So for now, it's the Commanders."

Cool. I'm not really trying to win a debate. I'm simply interested in the topic, even if it's something that happens in a couple years.

Just because it's not a number one priority doesn't mean they're not doing anything with it.
We already know nothing will be decided until the stadium situation is sorted out.
Naming the ( former ) head of Campbell's soup just last week as President, a guy I'm pretty sure knows how important branding is, has reignited the branding discussion.

Oh? What did he say about it?

I'm paraphrasing, but it was something along the lines of "Riggo44 just loves the name Commanders and the Steeler/Cardinal uniforms...fans like him are in for something shocking when we bring back Redskins and the true burgundy gold, mmm mmm good."
Hey cool. Maybe take some reading comprehension lessons and come back to me, K?

Oh so he didn't actually say anything, there's nothing new at all? Gotcha.

He hasn’t spoken publicly yet, he was just hired. Many are speculating that he would have an angle of thought on the topic beyond your usual CEO type because Campbell’s just underwent a major rebranding under his leadership and direction.

Clearly there’s something to talk about there, in general.

I’m new on this board but as an unbiased observer your attitude in here is baffling FYI, you can just not post on this topic if it’s “pointless” and clearly agitates you. Other people care about it more, that’s okay, right?

If this is the same Conn from ES, this shouldn't shock you at all. :)
