The Bombshell

Everything is hitting the fan today. Could be on the verge of something huge.

Law and the disputes behind them will make you realize Occam's Razor is a load of bollocks.

I’ve seen too many supposedly ‘huge’ internet rumors turn out to be yawners to get excited about this one. It's just gonna turn out Wale is playing at halftime again...lol.

This is not just some casual rumor. John Moag wields a lot of power in Maryland. He is a nasty, hit below the belt kind of political fighter.

I hear you BB. What I'm suggesting is that what one guy might view as 'something awful' that can be used as a threat to induce a Dan Snyder to do his bidding might make Dan Snyder himself yawn. And then issue his own threats about what might happen if private matters do become public. Not saying there's no 'there there' - just that I think it takes a lot to make someone like Dan Snyder sweat or blink. I'm skeptical it's something that rises to the level that it's going to force Snyder's hand or result in him stepping out of the majority owner spot.

I would be joyful to be wrong though.

I just lost the entire post that I spent several minutes writing. What the heck?

Sorry BB - we're making some usergroup adjustments - that's my bad brother!

It's almost over! Usually, I would do site work in the wee hours, but I worked a ton of hours this week and just can't do it after midnight like I try to do. Sorry about your lost post. As far as the stuff that came out today, I barely did a work drive-by so possible I didn't get the complete picture.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say... IM not one of those guys who's a Snyder hater I actually am happy with him NOW as my owner. The Vinny Cerrato days were the acme of his meddlesome ways. I can remember sitting in that stadium week after week in the Jim Zorn era and" the worst owner ever signs" were everywhere. Then came Shanahan, He was the first coach to ever kinda put him in his place and it was with Shanahan, I believe ,Snyder started to change. His decision to put Bruce Allen in charge was disaster but coaches started sticking around longer and bingo players were no longer calling our offense, furthermore at the time gruden was a hot OC coming from Cincy and I can remember excitement around that hire. Now we have Rivera and Jason Wright running the show and I get the feeling that Snyder has finally put on his "owners pants" and is letting the football people do their jobs. A lot of uncertainty comes with new owners, who know if the team moves, anything can happen . Snyder is finally doing the things we've been wanting for years now. I hope this gets settled and we get our new stadium, name and logo. This team is goin to be good folks so id like to enjoy the success finally and not have to deal with a sale of the team.

Oh I agree that we'd have no idea what a new owner would be like, although I suspect the NFL would be looking for someone with integrity and class after 20 years of seeing Snyder operate. I don't know (and neither does anyone else) to what extent Snyder has 'learned' and is not 'meddling'. Rhino - we are less than 2 years from the rumors that Snyder himself mandated the selection of Dwayne Haskins amid protests from key front office staff. Those are rumors, but they are pervasive rumors that to my knowledge have ever been denied by anyone in authority. So that doesn't exactly boost the notion that Snyder has ceased 'meddling'. And for me anyway, his 'meddling' and general ineptitude as an owner is only part of the reason I want Snyder gone by any means necessary. He is, by my observation over an extended period, a petty, vindictive, arrogant, and classless individual. I don't want him owning, involved in, or anywhere near a team I have rooted for all my life. I hope Rivera is able to lead the franchise to on-the-field success, but it won't change my opinion of Snyder, or lessen my desire to see him toppled and run out of DC forever.

Living in New York maybe our idea of arrogance differes 😂😂 trying living in a town with James Dolan and the Steinbrenner’s oh and wait my favorite of them all the Wilpons🤦🏼‍♂️

Here's some more on the minority partners and their attempts to sell the team.

What I found most interesting was the part about minority partner Schar and his threats to go public with more, revealing information about Snyder and the potential NFL action against him as part of his settlement with Snyder.

According to the story, the NFL is threatening Schar with fines/penalties within the terms of the sale of his shares to Snyder for suggesting he would air the dirty little secrets.

Ultimately, the Times concludes Snyder will double his shares of the team...giving him unfettered control.

My question for all the Bezos wants the team theorists...why hasn't Bezos offered anything to the minority partners? If he was to wrestle the team from Snyder, it would be next to impossible if Snyder own 80%...unless it becomes like a Richardson situation in NC, but the NFL is seemingly on Snyder's side for now, so...

I BELIEVE Snyder is blocking the move to begin with... that the owners 'can't' sell because of Snyder which is their problem.

if he takes full ownership... or at least more ownership... i don't see how he could afford it.

Especially considering that if we host a playoff game it will be in an empty stadium...
