Random Commanders Thoughts

I hate these night games, call me impatient, call me spaztic but this waiting all day bs drives me freaking bonkers, it's like the girl getting naked in front of you in the morning but saying wait til 8:30p to touch.

This game is even more important with Dallas winning yesterday. We will and we put the division in play immediately.

Yeah, but tonight, Spurt Cousins is gonna carve up the Eagles like a Thanksgiving turkey.

More of an offseason topic but if it looks like Kurt is wanting to bail I wanna throw a WVU name in for consideration. BB & others are really good at breaking down prospects but wanted to get early thoughts on a guy.

WVU qb Will Grier, listed as 6' 2” & 217lbs.
Ranked #4 in passing offense
7 games in 5-2 record with 2467 yards
26 tds 5 int's w/2 rushing td's

P.S.- He can throw the fade!

I have nothing against Grier (former Florida QB), but he will likely be an UDFA. Possibly a seventh rounder. Weak arm. Doesn't see the field as well as he needs to. Questionable passes at times. A tad slow.

He was suspended by the NCAA a couple of years ago.

If he declares for the draft, Grier will rank somewhere around 25th to 32nd overall. These numbers are assuming the expected draft eligible QBs that will declare as well.

Kirk now 0-6 on MNF
0-7 if you count additional pressure games, like last season's last game, determining playoff destiny.
Meanwhile, Colt McCoy is 1-0 on MNF.

Yet TV execs still think we're a good watch on MNF.......

Just poor all around. I'm sure there was someone who played well, but does it really matter when the team was just all around dreadful? And the coaching was even worse. No attempt to establish a run game to try and wear down the d-line. Just run it once or twice a series to keep the fans and media off your back, and then throw in some runs late to help with the ratio.

Next week at 4:25pm, Dallas will put our season/playoff hopes out of it's misery.

This team gives you very little, if anything to believe in other than as long as Bruce Allen/Scott Campbell are front office stallwarts, we're never going anywhere.

We're battling injuries and with our current receiving core I'm not sure we have the firepower or depth to compete past an 8-8 season, then again the nfc east is crazy and we've seen win streaks in the past that pushed us forward. All I know is that I don't know what to think about this team other than F*** Dallas.

That game was lost late in the second quarter.... 3rd and 1 pass incomplete. Come on coach, get your head out of your ass.

I don't have that impression at all. The talent has been fine and the players drafted this year are looking better than the ones drafted the previous few years by the other guy. Last night was about execution and poor coaching. It wasn't about if the Redskins had the talent to compete.

The most frustrating thing?

In basically 2 1/2 seasons, Philly has torn their team down, rebuilt and passed us in the division while we wait for Jay to get right and Scott Campbell and Bruce to build the right way.

The Washington Redskins, rebuilding since 1992.

Sickening.........

No excuses, but sometimes the best player makes a big play to take over. Wasn't it 3rd down, when we had Wentz dead-to-rights, and he somehow escapes and gets the first? It was a 7pt game then, I believe.

Also, with the amount of flags the refs were throwing, the blatant late tackle from behind on Scherff was ridiculous.

Sucks the guys didn't get it together on MNF, and injuries don't help.

Also, Pryor can be benched. Even when he came in - he promptly dropped 2 passes. Just activate Quick/Harris.

It's the coach and the QB.

They have a really good QB. Worthy of a giant contract. After less than 2 years as a starter. With no more weapons than we have.
And a HC only in his 2nd year.

We have poor coaching from a 4 year head coach.
And a QB that's great on my fantasy team. Where stats are all that matter.
But on a real team, wins are all that matter.

Our guys need everything to go as planned to win.
Their guys make things happen.
