Moving in the wrong direction, our playoff hopes, are on the ropes. We're reduced to begging in the street.

Week 16 has us needing to win in Chicago. Plus....

Vikings@Packers - Go Vikes!
Falcons@Panthers - Go Panthers.
Buccaneers@Saints - Go Saints!
Lions@Crackboys - Once again, screw need. Go Lions!

It's simple, we need to win outright, the Packers to win outright, the Lions to lose 2, and the Bucs to lose one. There are a few more scenarios, but these are the simplest. I just don't see the Skins beating the Gnats...lucky to get past Chicago.

The least likely is the Bucs to lose, they play the Saints and the Panthers.

The Skins can definitely beat the Giants. I think we match up well enough with them as long as our OL comes to play. That is the key against the Giants. After last night, yes, anyone would doubt it. The Giants are playing their best football right now (the right time to be peaking), but if you get a play here and a play there, it is then up to the Skins D to make those key stops. Those are coin-flip stops sometimes (like against the Eagles) so you just need the coin to come up heads to win.

I'm with you on Chicago too. I have confidence that this team can beat any team except the true elites (NEP, SEA, I think, at this point), on any given Sunday. In a lot of ways, the sub-500 teams (or the ones who just have a lot of fight) are the ones who worry me the most. When they played the Lions, the Cardinals, the Panthers.. I think they were all hovering at 500 or below, and those are 3 Ls.
 
Skins beat any team that finishes with 9 wins provided they get to 9 wins themselves. So I'd want to see both the Lions & Falcons lose. If those divisions end in a tie for their titles at 9, one wins the title and the other drops to the WC possibility. Skins still have a game to give to TB & GB before they get to 9. Most here want the Buc's to lose but that helps every team in the playoff chase, not just the Skins.

Actually the simplest is we win 2, and the Pack need to only lose 1, and Bucs lose 1, and Detroit doesn't matter.
There's no need to involve Detroit in this. That actually makes it more complicated than it needs to be. They're leading the division. We should only concern ourselves with current wild card seeds ahead of us, like Pack and Bucs, not current division leaders. We're only a half game behind both of them for the final spot, so the simplest path is to leapfrog them and no-one else.

I'd disagree there, too.
Can't agree with the notion that the 'most likely' path to the playoffs, is the more complex scenario which involves more teams to depend on, and three additional losses required, as compared to the simpler possibility.
So I can't help but say, Keep it simple, brother.

Detroit is on a downward spiral, they will lose to Dallass and be reeling when they play a hot Aaron Rodgers and a Packers team gaining steam to end the season. The Packers winning two and Detroit losing 2 is more likely than the Packers losing one.

The wild card is Tampa, the Bucs are not going to lose to the Saints...so we can only hope the Panthers beat them to end the season.

Most likely scenario...we do not get into Playoffs, Packer win their division, the Giants and Bucs will be the Wildcards.
 
Saints are highly capable of beating the Bucs, or any team in the league for that matter. That game is far from a lock for the Bucs. Saints have given every team fits this year.
And even tho they're basically eliminated, I'm sure they'd be happy to spoil their division rival, same as Philly did to the Giants Thursday night.

If Detroit just loses Monday night, we're in with a win, and it won't matter what happens with the GB/Det game, because we just need one of those 2 teams to lose their final game. And I'll go on record as guaranteeing that either GB or Detroit will absolutely lose their final game.

So...sorry guys, you have to root for Dallas again this week. It's mandatory. Our playoff lives depend on it.

It may feel dirty but rooting for the Cowboys to win is our best option. Rooting for Aganst a dallas win is rooting against the skins playoff chances. Giants are beatable but if the lions win it means they have to beat GB. A lions win tomorrow and it's possible a 10 win team and two 9 win teams are sitting out the playoffs how weird and often does that happen?

Not often since they've expanded the playoffs.

Or Det wins the next two. GB is bounced. No Cowboy rooting here.
 
It's all predicated on us beating the Giants. Eli is very beatable, but he does not normally gift teams with 5 INTs either. Our D is gonna have to play a hell of a lot better for us to beat NY, in my opinion.
