Random Commanders Thoughts

Yes Henry. More importantly, imo, we are set up for more success. Look at McL's draft last year, he hit it out of the park. If he dips even just a little, we will have even more depth and more help, plus Kirk having an offseason to learn Gruden's system even more means we should be able to continue the momentum next year. I'm thinking we can pull off one win, and if things break right, two this year in the playoffs, which will give everyone even more confidence going forward.

The Eagles lost.
The Cowpukes lost.
The Giants lost.
The Seahawks lost.
The Panthers lost.
The Cheaters lost.

A great start to the week! And we are currently set to face the Vikings at home!

Imagine how even tougher we'd be, if these guys didn't get hurt :

Niles Paul
Junior Galette
Chris Culliver
Derek Carrier
Duke Ihenacho

Well, and that's the thing.

You heard us Negative Nancies say it when we were losing: Everyone has injuries.

The fact that we have been able to maintain, and actually elevate, our play despite our injury situation is a VERY good sign.

Jeez if you thought the Skins can sometimes be a tough watch her Packers have looked bad this year. I can't believe they have a 10-5 record.
Their Offense just can't move the ball.

I feel so sad for them and their 2 more wins. :D

Just amused by that statement is all. All about expectations and perspective, and it's always funny to hear fans of the currently more successful teams, such as the Packers, bemoan their fate while they still have a better record than we do.

Personally, I'd like to play Seattle and put them out of the playoffs. Turnaround is fair play!

Yes, with everyone talking about getting rid of monkeys on the back, the "Seattle Playoff Monkey" is one that would be great to bury.

I thought that way the second and third time we played them.

Now? Eh. I'd just like to play someone else for a change. :)

Got to hand it to Prisco, the man admits when he's wrong:

Monday Musings: Belichick may be a genius but deferring in OT is dumb - CBSSports.com

Last week in this space I wrote about how wrong I was about Redskins coach Jay Gruden and quarterback Kirk Cousins. After Cousins lit up the Eagles on Saturday night to win the NFC East, I want to restate that point. I whiffed on the Redskins and Cousins. Gruden keeps saying how people like myself put his team 32nd in the first power rankings before the season, which he used as motivation. You're welcome, Jay. This is what I wrote next to the Redskins at No. 32 in my first Power Rankings back in September: 32. Washington Redskins – This team is a disaster and will be lucky to sniff .500. Kirk Cousins? Come on. Is a new coach coming after the season? Talk about a swing and a miss.

Times like these, when the media pundits are stumbling over themselves..admitting they were wrong or acting incredulous that the Redskins won the East(Hi Stephen A and Skip), are just sweeter than anything you had from the dessert table at Christmas.

It's why we keep our heads down in the tough, desperate, lean times....because the reward is worth it!

Fair enough. But just think how nice it'd be to make them go home.

I have more annoyance for Seadderal than others, just because of where I live. Them and the Donkeys....I hate them both.

McCloughan went out and signed veterans like Will Blackmon and Pierre Thomas that have made a difference with all the injuries.

He found Dustin Hopkins on the waiver wire.

Is there any way Will Compton should not be a starting ILB from the get go in 2016?

Compton replaced an injured Keenan, Riley started playing better when Compton came in but that might also be related getting over injury.
Many have pointed out that Compton sees the game much better.

Talk about no respect the pukes are favored by 4 I hope we win by 2 TD

I don't even know how anyone would bet on that game (and I'm a guy known to have made large bets on preseason games).

Who's playing? Who's not?

Is Dallas going for a top 5 pick? Do they even want to win?

Are we resting starters?

I know it's Vegas, but I'm a little surprised that they even have a line. And I'm not stupid.....I know they always have a line....but geez.

Down to the last game of the season and we're not talking about draft position. Hail to the Redskins!

So is Compton our final replacement for London Fletcher ?

it depends probably short term but thinking long term if ScoobyWright is there when we pick do trade down and pick up extra picks or take him and secure an ILB hopefully for a few years.
