wasn't Barry the LB coach at San Diego? not pinning this on hoim but I'd lile to hear him calling some folks out or changing the lineup.
 
Well, we had an unexpected win (imo,of course) today and now sit on top of the NFC East.

Now, the trick will be...finding a way to get this team to win on the road...if we want to stay there.
 
Ok, so this win was pretty huge.

GREAT game by the defense. Solid game all around.

No complaints from me. I will now officially say I see some solid progress with this team this year.

Big win.

Weak division or not we are playing at least 1 meaningful game in Dec
 
Gruden deserves major props getting this team to quickly move past the stomping at the hands of the Panthers and ready to play well across the board today.
 
Next week is a chance to really get a leg up on the rest of the NFC East with the Giants playing the Jets (that will be a tough game) and the Eagles on the road against New England.
 
We have another monkey to get off our back next week

You mean you're not use to type O's all over most articles. Nobody does any checking, it's all about getting you crap up on line as fast as you can.

yup historically we have not been good on Monday night but we did beat them last season so hopefully we can win this one and not make cassell look like an all pro

While it was a great outcome, I was displeased with a couple things today...the defensive stand on those last 2 drives for TD's was abhorrent! The soft zone killed us! We blitzed an extra man almost all 1st Q, then it was almost exclusively 3 or 4 man rush the rest of the game. But the soft zone on those 2 drives absolutely killed us! 4th and 16 and you don't blitz? WTF?

And...did anyone else get a little nervous when they saw Desean Jackson back there receiving punts?

Not trying to bring us down, just pointing out some flaws that need to be addressed.
 
Well I'm sure we'll dissect this win all week. LOL

Thoughts....

We looked really good defensively. I mean we gave up 14 points at the end... but to be honest I wish we could hold teams to 14 pts every week.

For the most part we defended Beckham well. That catch was pretty spectacular... nothing to do about that.

I'll give Gruden credit for getting the team up for this game after the hammering at Carolina last week...

Not sold on Barry... I really wanted to see more of a killer instinct on the line when they lost 3 of their starters... But we still held them scoreless for 3/4's of the game so...

DJax stays...

AlMo should be our number 1 option running back and we need to stick with him...

I like Jones as a change of pace... but I don't trust him yet!

I think Crowder will break out next year...

Cousins got the Giants monkey off his back. No Interceptions... and Eli had 3 and almost so many more. He was lucky not to have about 5 or 6

Yes it's a bad division but someone has to win it and I'd prefer it was us.

I do believe we're building slowly towards something. I'm kinda looking forward to next year...
