Random Commanders Thoughts

Yeah, but that shit is real.

Whatever Mike. You laugh until the sky DOES fall is more like it :) If the discussion isn't for you, there are other threads.
I do wait until it actually falls since we know the media lies and feeds us false stories all the time. I see it and if nobody else does, that's on them.

The discussion here lately seems to be calling Scots wife a drunk and the people clowns. I'm not going to go down the name calling path again ;)

There's great discussion here. Letting everyone speak their mind is a good thing.

Griffin is harder for Snyder to pass than a kidney stone :(

BD - any chance this is a trade ploy vs. the more dysfunctional explanations? Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.

This shows that the team has little faith in cousins not failing again. He's thrown interceptions again, fumbled again, and had great moments again.

Griffin will be back on the field some time this season if he's not traded within the week.

I don't correlate 'team' with 'Dan Snyder' Mike :)

Jay Gruden, Matt Cavanaugh and Scot McCloughan evidently wanted Robert out of the picture and only the owner who has showed some VERY bad judgment in the past in re evaluations of personnel wants him still in play for whatever reason.

You can look at the Darlington piece or the tweet from Adam Schefter.

The clear implication is that Snyder is willing to roll the dice on keeping Griffin and potentially having him get on the field, get hurt and cost the team $16M against next year's cap.

There is no way McCloughan would potentially hamstring the organization in that fashion unless the upside on the player was substantial.

And by substantial, I mean taking a chance on a guy with the demonstrated talent of say an Odell Beckham Jr. or JJ Watt.

At this point the upside for Griffin isn't in the same galaxy and hence isn't worth the gamble.

Could the Redskins be trying to trade Griffin?

Anything is possible I suppose. But at this point how many teams are going to deal anything of value for a guy that doesn't know their system and for whom the 2015 season is likely to be spent on the bench watching?

He would have to waive his option for 2016 to make the money work and there is no sign so far officially that he is willing to facilitate a trade.

If I were Griffin would I be motivated to do anything to help the Redskins get assets back for moving me?

Or would I rather sit there and force the team to cut me or let me go next February so I could go to the team of MY choice and start over.

Griffin's drive to get on the field is one of the things about him that is absolutely unquestionable. I have a hard time believing that he would take the approach of willingly sitting out this year so he could MAYBE sign with another team next offseason, if he's approached with the opportunity to move to another team and potentially play this year. He knows as well as anyone that anything can happen, someone can get hurt, so he could viably see playing time THIS season if he's traded. I don't think he has it in him to sit back and watch if there's another option on the table.

Ok just for kicks...

Philly cut Tebow and is down to 2 QB's now. Word last week was they were one of the interested teams out there. Kelly is the one fruitloop I could see swinging a trade. Thoughts?

Wonder if Williams makes it to the PS?

The Redskins players that have been reportedly cut on Saturday:

Offenvise guard Tyler Larsen
Offensive tackle Takoby Cofield
Tight end Je’Ron Hamm
Linebacker Terrance Plummer
Running back Trey Williams
Linebacker Houston Bates

Redskins: The cuts continue

it would make sense... hopefully that move can be used to motivate other teams as well..

I suppose the idea of Chip Kelly acquiring Griffin off the waiver wire for nothing is a reason to wait.

Rumor is Eagles are talking to Christian Ponder

Bates' release is good news for Jackson Jeffcoat.

Atlanta seems ready to start Tyler Polumbus and Chris Chester on their OL, why not swing a deal for Josh LeRibeus and get back a pick or a safety?

Now I get why Griffin didn't say a word. He has learned his lesson from saying too much it appears.

Kelly seems manic.

He goes out and acquires a drop back passer with bad knees in Sam Bradford, but then brings in Tim Tebow whose skill set couldn't be further from Bradford's.

He gets rid of LeSean McCoy in part because 'he has had a lot of carries' by age 28, but then goes out and signs DeMarco Murray for megabucks, a player who has regularly ended up on the IR during his career and last year had the most carriers of any runner in the NFL.....................

Are Jordan Matthews and Riley Cooper really > DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin?
