Random Commanders Thoughts

LOve the Barnett signing, it will be fun to see how the competition between him and Riley pans out in the end. I think highly of both

I wonder if Kerrigan could be moved to ILB on some plays. Especially if Brandon Jenkins turns out to be our Elvis Dumervil.

Thats a great thought! I kind of like the idea of position flexibility increasing, especially on the D

Just signed Barnett. I don't really know him but it looks like a good signing to me!

He was the Bills best linebacker last year, and that was in a 4-3, within which he's probably not as comfortable. He was a great run defender, started all 16 games, and recorded 112 tackles.

He's a little slow in coverage, but as a backup on the inside and a situational guy, this could be a steal for us.

seriously, wtf. i must have been on the previous page when I thought i was on the last page. i checked... obviously not very well.

We should start doing end of the year superlatives and I should be nominated for whatever award captures the fact that I do this all the time

Barnett had a history of injuries in Green Bay and that's one of the reasons he was still out there at 32.

Wonder why the Bears weren't interested with their own issues right now at LB.

Probably, but he is coming off 2 straight season playing in 16 games. Pretty good for someone w/ injury history. I would like to know what the "undisclosed" injury is.

Yeah, I had the same thoughts when we were working him out, then noticed he played two full 16-game seasons in Buffalo. I'm not sure he's the same player he was in Green Bay (when healthy), but he's definitely a solid back-up/rotational player. I know I'm not expecting him to come in here and light it up or anything.

With Fletcher at 38 the need for a veteran backup was there even before the Robinson injury.

Can't say I disagree with this. We'll see how much money/draft picks they are willing to spend next year in other positions, but ILB looks like a definite area of need going into the future now that it looks like Robinson is a wash with injuries.

I'm having a hard time getting back into football this year. It's August 1st, and for some reason, baseball season is still going on. :)

Come on man! Give it a rest in certain forums. I get it, you're baseball team has the best record in baseball, I see it on FB and every day in the proper forum on this site, but please do us all a favor and keep your gloating in the proper forum! It's getting tiresome!

Um. Wow. It was a random thought, about my inability to be completely consumed by all things Redskins right now; as I normally would be. Forgive me though, if I was the reason your Cheerios smelled like urine this morning.

Many people and reporters on twitter are speculating that Josh Wilson is on the bubble.

Apparently Chase Minnifield is challenging him for the last DB spot in camp.
