Don't know if I like the idea of RG, teaching RG3, fundamentals like, "When your #1 is covered, just close your eyes and say '**** it, and randomly lob it deep !!' "

In all seriousness, I'm not sure this is a great idea. Skins fans are going to revolt if Rex starts barring any injury this year. I get the idea of bringing someone in who knows the system, but I am hoping Kyle adjusts the system to account for a slightly more mobile QB than stone feet Rexy. If he does adjust, how useful is Rex gonna be, realistically?

I don't know if we had much choice with RG. Most of the decent backups seem to be headed elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure Kyle knows the limitations of Rex and will adjust "down" the offense to suit if he is needed to come in for RGlll.

Rex does provide veteran presence and has pseudo starter experience. The cap fiasco probably limits the options for other recourse and what other backup vets are available that would provide a reasonable comfort level in the system.

If RGlll is as bright as touted, then the Rex factor should have little effect on the development of the rookie. The coaches can focus on the rookie and not have to playbook another QB to the extent that a new backup would need.

I think we all knew that if we secured the #2 spot, RGIII would be re-signed for 1 year. Draft RG3 at #2 and RGIII as a backup?

After the league screwed us, I think we had to limit our options in a lot of areas we were looking to address. Backup QB may likely have been one of them.
