Not to beat a dead horse as I am sure most have tried to move on from last Sunday's debacle; however, I do find it ****ing ridiculous that the NFL has the nerve to fine a guy that was provoked with what I describe as an eye-rake and not levy any other fines against the Rams for the numerous late-hits, fore-arm shivers, elbows, and what I can only describe as an attempt to destroy the spine of London Fletcher. I have been looking to see if any discipline is coming the Rams way, but I guess since it's the Redskins we're talking about then maybe I shouldn't hold my breath...

Was the guy who hit Davis helmet-to-helmet fined?

Not that I've read or have been able to find via google search on da webz.

In my opinion, I think the NFL is going to be very apprehensive to hand out a metric crap-ton of fines considering the current stand-off with the NFLRA. Can't go back and hand out like 5 separate fines for infractions that were not flagged. Just makes the replacements look even more incapable.

What an absolute joke the league has become.

It's one thing for the refs to miss the player who provokes it, but they take asshattery to a whole new level when they review the film for a post-game penalty and STILL not recognize the clown who provoked it

That's appalling. The Fred Davis play, the London play, Long pointing at his head, these are just the top three flagrant violations I can think of that should be fined.

Supporting the replacement refs. Fine only what they called, not what they missed.

Hopefully that's not true, and we'll hear about fines on the Rams.

Ha F**king Ha! You have to be a complete incompetent to watch that film and come away with a fine to Josh Morgan and not the Rams defenders. This is just another small example of anti redskins bias that makes us all look crazy because we can never demonstrate crystal clear examples of us getting bent over by the "league." Normally just a bunch of little crap calls like this stack up year after year making us seem like kooks for complaining.

Wait, what? He got fined for throwing a football at Finnegan, but the OL didn't get fined for trying to break Fletcher's neck? This has got to be a joke...

Disagree. This isn't a Skins bias, this is Goodell protecting the image of the league. He can't acknowledge the replacement refs suck by fining the hell out of the players that played dirty, that the scab refs weren't able to control. It would reduce his leverage when he finally negotiates with the real refs. Now he can show stats that say that the real refs had a WORSE rate of unflagged players who eventually were fined, than the scabs.

He's a snake.

But Goal, that's not true because they have fined players for calls that weren't made by the regular refs in the past.

That's what I'm saying. Goodell can now look at the real refs and tell them their performance is WORSE than the scabs, because he doesn't have to go behind the scabs as much to fine players for plays that the real refs missed. Doesn't happen to the real refs that often, maybe a couple of times a year, but I'm thinking it won't happen hardly at all for the scabs. It's a negotiating tactic.

If I may express a completely personal and probably biased opinion here;

Roger GODell-using the spelling I think he'd prefer-is on a serious egotistical power-trip that I sincerely hope winds up biting him in the a$$ harder than a Nile crocodile.

Ahhh...so out of one side of his mouth he's preaching player safety, and the other side he's sacrificing player safety to help negotiate.

What a cockbag.

Bull****. If it was just Goodell trying to ignore that the refs suck, he would have just left the play alone. A fine on top of the flag that may have just lost the game for the skins? Excessive. Biased.

Edit: Ok I admit I only read the first line or two of your response.... OK tht's a valid point, but I just think every time they have the opportunity to kick us, they will until something big happens.

I understand fines for vicious hits. But fines for unsportsmanlike conduct penalties??? Is that even something we've seen before? What? Losing the game for your team on a stupid penalty isn't enough punishment?

What am I missing here?

I'm not usually one to see a conspiracy and I rarely buy into "grassy knoll" ideas. I think that, as a rule, the simplest answer is usually the correct answer. However, in this case, I am left to wonder. Morgan gets fined for throwing a ball while Jenkins goes unfined for what was clearly a blow to the head of a defenseless receiver.

Probably not the message Goodell and the NFL would be trying to send if the regular refs were in place. Just sayin'...

I am boycotting NFL merchandise.. Never again purchasing any jerseys or anything that brings them revenue. And it would be really nice to see the rest of the fans unite on this.

That's too funny, we think a lot alike. I had also thought about that today. Hit em where it hurts.

For what its worth, Rich Tandler told me today that some fines will come tomorrow.

Don't forget Robert taking a shot to the back of the neck, after sliding. And DE Quinn punching Trent in the face. We didn't see the punch, but Doc says it's on tape.

Should be fines on all of them, and 1 game suspensions on 3-4 of them.

But, Goodell is a scum sucking, ass licking, gutless pile of maggot dung eating, douche-bag.
So, I don't expect much from him.
