Brian Orakpo impressived everyone with his four-sack performance last Sunday, including the league, who name him NFC Player of the Week.
In the game, Orakpo had four sacks, six tackles, three tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. The four sacks tied a franchise record for a single game. Orakpo’s 44 yards lost on his four sacks are the most by an individual in any NFL game since the statistic began being tracked in 1994.
Orakpo currently leads all first-year players in sacks. And he is one-half of the leagues most potent sack tandem (along with Andre Carter).
