I know it sounds like a broken record, but seriously with TWO weeks left in the season and the better part of TWO years looking at Jammal Brown on the field, what more is to be gained in putting him out there?
Brown will be 31 years old soon and has not played a full schedule since the 2008 season. He has limped around here for much of the 2 seasons with the chronic hip and then more recently the groin.
Meanwhile, the Redskins are 5-9 and coming off a recent string of games where the offensive line with Willie Smith and Tyler Polumbus in the lineup has performed better than expected, and better perhaps than when Brown was in the lineup.
Is this simply a face-saving move by the Coach/GM who resigned Brown to a five year extension after last season's injury-plagued campaign?
To me there is no objective reason to put Brown out on the field.
If the younger players could handle the Giants' defensive line they should be competitive against the Vikings and Eagles.
Especially since both players are 100% and ready to go.
