This should provide some hilarious responses.

For me, it's "Ice Ice Baby."

I don't even like the guy. I would never buy the album. But it's a song that always brings me back to a great time in life, and it makes me happy.

I'm guilty of occasionally cranking that one up on my drive to work, then rolling up the windows quickly at any red light to make sure no one else is hearing it.

If they do hear it and then look over at me, I just put on that serious face, and keep looking straight ahead like it's sure as hell not coming from my car.

My iTunes is filled with Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers songs from my two oldest, that they now don't claim as their own. So that's fun.

As far as songs I actually picked out and bought... I have some great disco classics, The Sign by Ace of Base, Barbie World song (can't remember the name, I was ummm, intoxicated a bit when I bought it) and an entire Fray album.

I swear I have cool stuff too though. Really.

(this, combined with my wife's beer choices my prove to be the end of me at BGO)

I can't explain it, and I don't know how it happened, but I actually own a Paula Abdul album.

The world is a strange, strange place.

Me too. The two girls I lived next to as a sophomore had a whole dance routine to "Straight Up Now Tell Me" worked out. It was fabulous. I bought the album in their honor. :paranoid:

OK, "We Built This City" is pretty rough. But "Sara"? Come on, that's good stuff.

That's called middle school/High school hormones. Certainly not an egregious offense. Not even a misdemeanor around these parts.

You likely bought that because of the video's "tremendous visual artistic standards."

Well...I guess it would have to be Marc Anthony, but in my defense it is his latin stuff not American Pop.

That's not much of a defense. In fact, it may be even more disturbing. Do his dark latin looks 'speak to you' El? :) Hehehe...

Ha! I was raised on Latin music and dude is a damn good latin musician! Jerk! :redpunch:

And I was going to ease up on Goal and his berry beer, but I need something to deflect attention from my man crush on Marc Anthony!

McD5, when are we voting?

Absolutely. I'll confess I don't know much about Marc Anthony, but Cyndi Lauper is a legitimate rocker if you look past a couple of her radio hits. And one of the true 'free spirits' of her era. No shame in having her on your play list.

She's my wife's favorite. But all I can picture now is you as a young Marine running around singing, "Girls just want to have fun!" :twitch:

Reminds me of a bumper sticker back in the '80s...

"Cyndi Lauper - Hair by Crayola".

Elephant is going to be crying when our little Patrick is born on Cyndi's birthday (June 22)! Cyndi's so great- she came out on the pop scene and dominated. When she didn't get promised artistic licenses, just went on to do some great stuff that wasn't exactly mainstream, but it was her's, dammit! : ) She is a true artist to me- not afraid at all to take chances- risking "success" and not bowing down to record companies. She's done so many albums in so many different genres... she's done movies, won an Emmy, been on Broadway--- AND was a Wendy Richter's manager in the WWF! What a career!

I could go on forever- but lastly- I saw her in concert at 8 months pregnant- running the stairs through the crowd at Nissan Pavillion. I kept her in mind during my pregnancy regarding gigs. If she could do that, I could perform well into my 8th month- and I did!

"Cyndi bird pooped in mouth" is SO FUNNY. How unfortunate, but such a great story!
