In my travels online, which have been extensive, I've come to the conclusion that approximately 10-20% of all websites I have visited could be categorized as useless-that is, a complete waste of time-for the apparent purpose of providing something pointless to do or read or watch while time passes unnoticed. It is also my observation that some sites have a variable percentage of everything that goes on on that site that could be categorized as useless-like most of Facebook, for instance. (I must confess to an absolute and total lack of interest in receiving updates from people regarding how many virtual bodies they've collected in Mafia Wars, or other similar neuron-numbing activities. I guess it's just a matter of personal taste, I guess)
