ANNOUNCEMENT OF INACTIVE PLAYERS

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Washington Redskins have announced the following inactive players for today’s game between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants:

- No. 45 FB Mike Sellers
- No. 46 RB Ryan Torain
- No. 55 LB Markus White
- No. 77 T Jammal Brown
- No. 88 WR David Anderson
- No. 93 DL Kentwan Balmer

No. 30 S LaRon Landry was placed on the Reserve/Injured list earlier in the week.

Man, Torain has no chance of being back, it looks like to me. If Anderson is inactive, that must bode well for Paul and Austin.

Austin seems to have regressed as the season has worn on, I doubt he'll be back at this point, though he may have the opportunity to prove me wrong. Hopefully Paul will use the playing time to prove his worth.

I know the coaching staff is high on Niles Paul. I think he has a chance to be a good WR in 2012 or maybe 2013. He already contributes on special teams.

My thoughts exactly Goal. While Anderson hasn't gotten on the field a lot, he's been somewhat productive in his limited time. I hate having a loosing season once again, but love the evaluation going on with the young blood. I didn't realize Austin was still on the team :) Hope Paul gets targeted a lot today, his development could be huge. A young stable next season would be nice with the return of Hankerson, who was actually showing some skill before the injury.

I can't write off Torain just yet. Hightower is a huge variable. You could see Torain around till mid season next year, with Hightower on the pup list while continuing his rehab. I don't see Shanny drafting another back this time out with all the other needs. Helu, Royster, and Torain isn't looking too bad, or substitute Hightower for Torain.

And someone please put Jammal Brown out of our misery. A good draft choice and a good FA will cure us.
