I was alerted to this on that Packer site (our friend APB actually).

This is a contract done in 1944 by Curly Lambeau making an offer to Ed McGroaraty to play for the Packers.

I love the terms-ansd one sentence is becoming a favorite.

"We will gladly increase the amount of this contract as soon as you are playing the kind of ball deserving more money."
I can't help but imagine how players of today might react to something like this.:whoknows:

Nice find Serv! I particularly like on page 2, clauses 7,9, and 11. Obviously before Curt Flood in Baseball, but this does give one insight into how much the players were held by the teams.
