The Super Bowl

My oldest boy, Sam, is on cloud nine. We were on the edge of our seat tonight, but I am glad to be able to share these special moments with him and see the joy on his face after winning. A glimpse into my life as a child. I keep reminding him to never take these for granted.

Congratulations, Sam!!

I remember that feeling. Glad Sam gets to experience it!

I'm down on a lot of things the NFL as a league is doing these days - revising our team history, ignoring some player safety issues, officiating issues, etc.

However, I must commend their approach to combating declining interest in the game in younger generations. I think the idea of a Nickelodeon broadcast of the Super Bowl is brilliant and I can tell you that when my girls were that age, we would have been totally watching that broadcast of the game. They would have loved it.

I watched most of the game on Nickelodeon.

The best moment was during the second quarter when Dora asked "Who needs a map to find the end zone?” :)

EDIT: Found it -

I'm very curious to see the SpongeBob ratings compared to CBS. We watched it on our TV and it was so good. Romo just started getting on my nerves, but for some reason I could laugh every time Patrick spoke I laughed and laughed.

This idea makes me wonder how a Muppets Super Bowl would go? Kermit would obviously be the straight man... err frog.

I think when they did the toy story game from the UK it showed people how to get the next generation involved as well as a new idea.

NHL carried a game as 'Big City Greens' between the Capitals and Rangers last year and it was awesome.

One thing I have to give them credit is trying to 'animate' in order to appear to a new audience, I'm personally all in favor.

I loved that one, too! The toy story one was a bit jumbled but I liked the way they went with it, too
