This season is essentially over.

I think the future still is bright. Or at least might be bright. But this season is cooked .

The problems on this team go way beyond coaching......but I am also way less than impressed with them too.

I feel like JD5 even being in the game at that point is damn near fire-able offense. He was running for his life the entire game, trying to put it all on his back, because that is what the best of 'em do. It's in their DNA, but that is the entire point of a Head Coach recognizing that and protecting his players in a situation of being down 7-37 with half the 4th quarter gone. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?

This just feels beyond wins & losses at this point.

Absolutely disgusted.

You knew that kid was gonna do everything in his power to continue to try and score. He threw the ball in frustration after that shoe-string tackle. I can’t remember him ever doing that. As a head coach you have to save your young QB for himself when he competitive fire is leading to recklessness.

If any of you guys bought plane tickets to Spain, you might want to see if you can cancel those tickets.

I turned off the TV at the start of the third quarter so I missed the injury. I'm not sure if I agree that he should have been pulled. Most coaches believe in fighting 'til the end even when the game is lost. This sucks. The sky has fallen. As my dad would say, the only luck we have in 2025 is bad luck.

Im now starting to see that our improbable run last year was the absolute worse thing that could have happened to us.

We abandoned build through the draft And started trading away draft picks for aging vets their teams no longer saw a future with and at the same time this entire staff bought itself a ton of rope that we're all gonna hang from over the next 2 or 3 years at least.

Awful season emphatically ending with the worst possible event. As much as no one wants to hear it, it doesn't really change anything. We will have to continue to upgrade the roster and hope that this season with JD's injuries was more an aberration than what we should expect going forward. I think it's becoming abundantly clear that Whitt does not have the ability to put an effective defense together. Maybe with better talent and fewer injuries it's different, but the really good DCs seem to be able to scheme up at least marginally effective D. That's not what we are seeing this season so I think they have to bring in a proven DC to replace him. I'm not sure I would wait but they will.

Frankly, I'd shut this whole thing down right now. To say there have been some disappointments personnel wise this year is an understatement. I'd trade damn near everyone with any talent away at this point for one year, barely adequate players to fill the uniforms and get as many draft picks as we can get. Even the low draft picks can be combined to move up next April. No one on this team should feel safe in having a job, and that includes the coaches. The only person I feel sorry for this morning is Art Monk.

Thinking the season is getting shut down by default anyway due to injuries, JD probably done, McCafrey i'm sure out for weeks, Lattimore looks out, thats just last night that I even know about. The luster for both DQ and Kliff has gone, last year bought them plenty of good will but all the cute catch phrases etc are fine when your winning, when you are this bad they just are irritating and hollow. Whitt can go today, though I dont even see the point in that, as much as I dont like him as a DC bringing someone else in at this point is pointless.

Man, terrible decision to leave Jayden out there at that point in the game. He’s already been injured this year. Not really sure what they were thinking. You hate to see it happen to such a young, promising player.

Not directed towards anyone here’s thoughts, just a general view-

Trade whom for what? Some late round picks? Like that would make a difference. Any GM buzzards circling this team would find nothing of interest to even sniff at or take a closer look.

35 year old Ertz & Wagner? Deebo for a 5th/6th? Would Payne even garner a 4th? A previously broken down (now broken) and washed Lattimore? Who on the team is the secret sauce player that would make a contender salivate? Luvu? McLaurin now? Fat chance.

Peters is seriously between a rock and a hard place. The draft capital locker is filled mostly with lottery tickets and hope. The team is currently mostly dependent on players at the top of career counselor’s call lists. I’m sure glad that it’s not my responsibility to fix.
