'The Hobbit' Movies Get Titles and Release Dates

As some of you may know, Peter Jackson is returning to direct the film adaptation of 'The Hobbit' in a two-part series. Now we have titles and release dates for the series - exciting! /nerd

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" will be released December 14th, 2011
"The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will be released a year later on December 13th, 2012

It can't be a trilogy if there are only two movies.

Two works with a common theme are sometimes called a "duology" but the term is seldom ever used and does not appear in most dictionaries.
