Oh, and to compare and contrast.
One day my Mom was driving home from work. The doctors never figured out what hapened, but she basically passed out at the wheel. We were fortunate that she kinda just glided off the road and came to a stop.
The next day, Mom called in sick. Mr Cooke called Mom early because she basically kept Mr Cookes life straight, so he was a little flumoxed when she wasn't around.
Mr Cooke asked her what was wrong, and she told him what happened. He said "I'll call you right back dear" and hung up
About ten minutes later, Mr Cooke called back. Mind you, Mom had been calling around trying to get in to see a neurologist, but when Mr Cooke said he was calling back, you didn't want him to hear a busy signal.
Anyway, he called back and told Mom, "Call this number. They're waiting to take care of you" and hung up. Mom called and it was the number to the top neurologist on the East coast. This guy had a waiting list a year and a half long. He picked the phone up personally and told Mom to come in the next day.
Like I said, they never could figure out what happened, but that doctor ran her through all kinds of tests and followed up with her for over two years
And Mr Cooke footed the bill.
Think you'd see that out of Lord Farquaad?
