There were many varying opinions on how it was being handled. Now that it's over, what is your opinion of how Shanahan handled it.
I think he handled it just right. I view it like being a parent. When you set an expectation with consequences for failure to follow through, you have to be consistent and demand the result. Anything less and you lose a bit of control and credibility. That assumes, of course, that the expectation and consequece are reasonble. It would appear that the expectation was reasonable, seeing that he was able to pass it. I suppose the only real point of conjecture is if the consequence was reasonable? I think so.
