The 2026 Draft Thread

Chambliss has been really sharp. He'll be a first rounder next year

Weak QB class, he should really just come out. Isn’t he going to be like 25 next year?

Chambliss applied for another year - I’m not sure if that has been granted or not. But he’s technically out of eligibility. So he’d be in this class if he isn’t given that.

Miami played the dirtiest they played all season, but some of the hand wringing is a bit overdone. The dirtiest play from last night was the one where Lacy was down and we hit him about 12 seconds late. That was mind numbing stupid. And egregious.

Everything else was football.

looking forward to see who “we” play in the Natty.

Also, Bain did a great job against the run, but late in the game he was absolutely neutralized. Early, though, he was effective. He’s an interesting case. But for this team probably isn’t in our plans due to needing a pure pass rusher.

I dont know brother. He has been basically handled one on one all game. And they have lined him up everywhere. He has been a very minimal factor on this game.

Ole Miss also known for subpar O line play. Bain had some moments, I recall the stunt where he shot up the A gap. I'll say he was disruptive at times But considering he was up against from what I read one of the worst pass protecting O lines and was rarely double blocked -- at a minimum am not blown away by last night.

I’m souring a bit on Downs, too. The more I watch him. I shouldn’t say sour… he’s a great player. But I don’t think he is Hamilton or ST21 and you kinda have to be to be taken that early in the draft.

Bailey is the guy right now, I think.

Him or Love.

I’d love to address Edge and RB in FA so we can take the true BPA at our pick.

Who that is remains to be seen - but if we can get a pass rusher and a back in FA it opens things up - likely a trade scenario if one exists, but there are a bunch of guys we could snag.

PFF gave Bain for 5 pressures and a solid PFF score. That is not the end all be all, but its indication that he may have played fine despite not having a big effect on the game.
He absolutely played fine. I don’t understand people saying he didn’t but, people here arent really high on him so they paint him in the lens they see him in. Which is fine. I do/have done the same.

Bain was disruptive in the pass game early, a non factor late and good against the run throughout. That is a middle of the road game for him and not anywhere near as dramatic as some media pundits are saying.

The NCAA denied Chambliss. So he is going to be in this draft class.

If we didn’t have Jayden I’d want him. He’s a gamer.

He’s small (6’0” 200 listed, but is he actually smaller?) and is going to be 25 during or right after his rookie season, it’s possible he’s a mid-late round guy despite being a gamer. He could be available to groom as a long term backup tbh unless someone loves him

Someone has to take a flyer on him. College gamers don’t always work out, but when they do… they do. Watching him play the Canes last night… I was terrified of him with 18 seconds left. The guy just has the ice gene that Jayden has.

He’s a top 4 QB in this class.

1. Mendoza
2. Moore
3. Simpson
4. Chambliss
5. Beck? Oh boy.

I haven’t watched any of the small school guys yet so they may slot in here somewhere.
