**The event is not open to the general public.**

EASY TWEET: #Redskins and #Macy’s team up to keep children warm during the holidays by hosting “Covered for the Holidays” coat giveaway

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Macy’s team up to donate 300 coats, scarves, gloves and hats to underserved youth from the Washington, D.C. Metro Area at the annual “Covered for the Holidays” event at Macy’s Metro Center on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Players scheduled to attend include Stephen Bowen, Fred Davis, Lorenzo Alexander, Brandon Banks, Doug Worthington, Niles Paul, Joshua Morgan, Darius Hanks and Alfred Morris.

Children will select coats with the Redskins players and write 'Believe Letters’ to Santa. Macy’s “Believe” campaign invites children to mail letters to Santa using Macy’s Santa Mail Letterboxes. Macy’s donates $1 for each letter mailed in store, up to $1 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.

The “Covered for the Holidays” event is part of the Redskins “Season of Sharing” campaign in which the team is embarking on several initiatives to give back to the community throughout the holiday season.

Any questions regarding the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation or the “Covered for the Holidays” event should be directed to Angela Alfano of Redskins Public Relations at alfanoa@redskins.com or 703-447-5629.

Media interested in attending the “Covered for the Holidays” event should also contact Alfano. Upon arrival, media should proceed to the lower level in Macy’s.
