On when wide receiver Brandon Banks got hurt:
“It was in the game. Each day felt a little bit worse.”
On the backup plan at returner if Banks cannot play:
“We’d have to sit down as a staff and make a decision on what direction [we would go].”
On tackle Trent Williams:
“I’m not going to obviously go through the detail of what he did, but [he is] questionable. He was able to practice.”
On safety Brandon Meriweather making his debut:
“He’s not 100 percent by any means, but wants to get out there, wants to play. I think he has had a good week of practice. He brings a lot to the table and hopefully there is no setback after today. He looks like he’ll be able to play.”
On the sense of urgency in the secondary:
“You’ve got some experience. Any time you lose a guy like [safety] Tanard Jackson, Meriweather, or even a guy like [Jordan] Bernstine, then all of a sudden you limit yourself. To have Meriweather back is a big plus.”
On what Meriweather adds to the defense:
“He has the game day experience that you want. He has played both safety positions before and he plays with a lot of confidence. Hopefully he brings a lot to the table.”
