On if tackle Trent Williams is out:
“No, he’s not out. We’ll test him before the game. He’s about 75 percent today, at least according to him. We’ll see how he does.”
On the injury status of safety Oshiomogho Atogwe:
“He’s questionable. He did not practice today though.”
On the injury status of tight end Fred Davis:
“Fred was limited.”
On the injury status of cornerback Phillip Buchanon:
“Buchanon is also questionable. He was limited today.”
On the progression of Davis:
“It’s my second year, so… Just saw what he did last year. He’s got a lot of ability. I thought he adapted to the system very quickly and he’s doing a good job this year.”
On guard Maurice Hurt:
“To be an offensive linemen, it’s such a learning curve. He’s a guy that’s very sharp. He’s adjusted very quickly. He works extremely hard, but there are so many things involved – the pass protection, the running game. I’m really impressed with how he’s handled himself and how hard he’s worked.”
On the practice status of fullback Mike Sellers:
“I would say he’s full, even though we didn’t practice him full just because of that back, but we’ll list him as full today.”
On how practices went this week:
“I think it was good practices. A lot of young guys got some more reps for obvious reasons, but I thought it was good practice. I thought all three days were good. And the weather cooperated, so it’s the first time this season that we had all three days where it was not raining, so that was good for us. That’s a good omen.”
On quarterback John Beck growing from his mistakes without another potential quarterback change:
“I think everybody understands there’s pressure at every position in the NFL. But you’re not going to come in the league right away at the quarterback position and have everything down. It’s a learning curve, which we’ve talked about before. Yeah, I think it is important for John know that he can go out there and have a game like he played and knowing that it’s not only him, but it’s the supporting cast – everybody has a job to do. And it’s hard for people to understand unless you’re with the team. When you have a number of people playing different positions, it just doesn’t happen overnight. John understands that better than anybody and he’s had a heck of a week of practice and hopefully it carries over to game day.”
On if Rex Grossman has had regular scout team duties:
“Yeah, same thing. Same as the No. 2 for everybody.”
