For the last few weeks the offense has played better despite the upheavals on the OL, our 3rd string running back starting and losing our pro bowl tight end.
You can say that guys are stepping up but I wonder if there is something else happening here.
I have long held the belief that OC often out smart themselves by making their systems so complex that their players can’t execute it without mistakes. Could it be that the offense is performing better because they have simplified things because we have players that haven’t played together very much? Also they may have simplified the game plans to make the play calling easier for Sherm Lewis who doesn’t know the playbook or the terminology very well.
